Probably one for GG! ...........Recalling the payment in shares made to the contractors who cleared the pipeline with pigging and remedial work earlier this year at a premium of 19p, and the subsequent presumed sell tranches - would the profit over the nominated price be retained by the contractor, or returned to IOG coffers? I ask the question as I note in the RNS that 20 mill shares at a guaranteed premium of 32.18 are to be issued presumably to cover payment to Fraser Well and other contractors. Would the same format apply when shares are redeemed?

Daft - as you are comparitively new to this forum, I would not get too hung up on "target" challenges with this share. I see no more significance in 33 than I did with 15,21, or 30 when they were similarly quoted as "barriers". As today's RNS will signify, things move on schedule with this highly competent board - and all the surprises tend to be pleasing ones. You will also get brilliant technical interpretation from contributors with industry experience on this board who are also serious investors. Its different, its refreshing, its always worth reading on a daily basis - and guess what? - it looks very rewarding for the patient and measured LTHs.

Aligator - just to underline my point about the strength of the share at this level and time, two late Buy trades - probably by the same investor - for total £21k were placed at the top end of the spread. Whilst this continues, MMs will be glad to buy yours at +31p. First news will indeed be interesting!

Aligator - I gave a clue to this in a post earlier this week. Granted it is unusual for a snapshot, but it basically illustrates the underlying strength of the share price for the longer term. The MMs are accepting the Sells - even chunky ones - as they either have orders to fill that are equally chunky or they are anticipating a buying run in the immediate future. Knowing what we know of the timelines and imminent news - I don't blame them!

Congratulations 600 on the biggest and boldest Buy trade of the day! You will look back with pleasure on your prompt and decisive action in the months and years ahead. Two thumping great Sells made no dent on the forward march of the SP, and I would reckon the MMs will move the Bid upwards tomorrow and keep a fairly wide spread.

Relax is fine, but that does not mean going to sleep! Significant to me and a sign of the strength of this share is this morning's Sell trade of 175k @ 30.50 has made no difference to the Bid - and we see a rise in the Ask to 32p as a raft of decent Buys indicate the trend. A subsequent Sell at + 31p would suggest a Bid rise is on the way - MMs call as ever!

That is not necessarily one buyer duster, and as we have moved a fair way in the summer months this share has attracted PI traders as well as LTHs. Those who entered in the low 20s take their profit and move on, and if you are looking to Buy/Top-Up a window can open at any time for 50k or similar - rather than £50k which is a wee bit different! Heavyweight institutional moves are another story - and rumours can also be fake news?

Good Luck with your intended top-up 600! If this spread holds for a day or two my personal view would be to put in a limit buy at 30.50 for your intended numbers. Then, during trading - just one chunky Sell may open the door for your trade. Otherwise, if you are happy with around 31p, feel sure you will get it.
Regarding apparent rumour, I have a current city colleague with a good finger on the pulse, but have heard nothing of a substantial institutional move prior to FID news - but you never know in this game!

Very few sellers around on this spread, which is good news for us LTHs. MMs will entice with a lift methinks - will ask them to hang on for a few days 600!

about the narrowest spread we have recently seen on the SP, thanks to one chunky sell at 30.20 against a raft of Buys. Suggests to me that the MMs are still enticing more sells to fill an order or prepare for an anticipated buying run? No funds here unfortunately, or I would be playing.
