Let's not forget it was only a couple of weeks ago that we were moaning that RR couldn't seem to get past the pesky 980 barrier.... I'd be over the moon if this ended 1050 ish after results day.... (despite my guess being in the 11's). Onwards and upwards.

This could still rise spectacularly on results day. I'm slightly concerned the market now expects so much of RR that even stellar results might just give the SP a modest bump.. so long as it hits my cash in target of 998 ill be happy.... :-) :-)

Results are going to be good... just whether Mr market decides they're good enough. It'd be nice to get an extra boost from a bumper order from China. How "real" is this order? Has it been all but confirmed or is it speculation?

Interesting read... airbus lagging on every front and facing supply issues - Boeing somewhat artificially propped up by the Qatar deal - hopefully this will be countered by the equally political China deal for Airbus.

I was talking to a engineer a week or so ago (a former chief engineer from Royces). He said the major issue with Hydrogen was the size of the molecules - apparently they're tiny and it's incredibly difficult to build a leak-proof system.

I'm intrigued svend although I'm assuming this was meant for another board??

I really hope Royces announce something slightly left field- advances in hydrogen powered trchnology could fit that nicely. Ive worked with a hydrogen company for 10 years - they do very funky stuff but their products (things that run off hydrogen fuel cells) just never take off. Imagine Royces announcing some sort of breakthrough technology with Hydrogen alongside SMR, narrow body and massive orders from China / Emirates.... svend would have to re-calibrate and we could be looking at £20... :-)

I think there's a difference between willy waving / bragging and success stories - but that's just my opinion. I'm eternally thankful to you for making me aware of EEE Cev - can you note my thanks and stop asking for it - it's a bit weird / needy.

I find the willy waving a bit crass (I've just bought / sold 20k shares etc, etc...). I quite enjoy the personal stories of triumph (I've finally managed to buy the car of my dreams on the back of RR). I suppose there's a fine line between bragging and celebrating. It's certainly changed my life and enabled me to pretty much retire at 52. If Svends optimistic prediction of 15 comes to fruition we're all going to be substantially better off...... apart from the bitter arsenal17 who seems incapable of drifting off into the distance on his cruise ship silently. If I was as bitter and twisted as arsenal I'd learn to keep my mouth shut...

The number of people on this board whose lives ha e been transformed by Royces is staggering. Alongside putting my savings into RR I whacked the whole of my (rather pathetic) SIPP into them - it's turned an embarrassingly small SIPP into something that I can actually use to retire on... I'm still contemplating the tattoo..... :-)

You'd think a company the size of M and S might have a team looking at demographics (of their customers and the country as a qhole) and tailor their clothing ranges accordingly??? Their food is top notch. Maybe they need a retail Tufan to take over and swing them around. I'd humbly suggest they're a better bet than many of the retail giants who have gone under in recent years. They strike me as a company that knows it's customer base well and provides it with what it wants.

Hi go to tactic is to do something truly mental in an effort to distract (like firing the head if the fed). The birthday card he sent epstein which has been described in the press (with a creepy message that can be construed as an admission to paedophilia) has really got him sweating.... and I seriously think this is the tip of the iceberg.

As for % of engines, numbers produced... no idea. When you say it's massively behind surely this engine is for the next generation airframe that won't be produced until the mid 2030s.... plenty of time to catch up???
