Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
According to an RNS (released yesterday) on Regional REIT's page they're at 90% in a flagship office at Glasgow Airport - RR are mentioned as "new" tennants although as I said previously this was actually announced back in September... all a bit odd...
Did bit of digging and the Glasgow offices were leased to RR in September 2023....Although it shows up in a press release yesterday??? Same Sq footage so the same offices (I would guess).
Just bumping this up as there didn't appear to be an answer last time...
1) Does the AGM usually provide a trading update?
2) If not is there any indication of when a trading update may be given.
It'd be interesting to see if we're on track with regards to Tufan's reasonably ambitious targets....
Red_Inky you don't half talk a load of BS...
You posted on March 28th “Will drop a bit on the 8th April dyor” and followed this up later the same day with "You will have to wait till the press release on the 8th”.
On 08th April RR rose from 379.08 to 387.76. There was no press release. The reason for the recent drop is down to worldwide events (which have affected the whole market). Why would you try and "sell" your previous post as some sort of win when it was wrong on both counts?? You really are a deluded individual - You probably believe in alternative facts...
Cheesecake... It's a prety natural assumption to make that the US dragged the RR SP down when you look at the SP movements today.... Rising almost all day..... until..... 14.30 when steady decline ensued. Whilst my first name is not Sherlock even I can deduce a pattern with this price behaviour.
RE: "ISA are buying more shares , that puts them in a lock right? Less tradable?"
Money is only "locked in" to ISA's if they are junior ISA's (money can't be taken out until the account holder is 18). Money in other ISA's can be withdrawn at any point (although I think there's a penalty for withdrawing money from lifetime ISA's before you're 60). So, in reply, no, money isn't generally being locked up by ISA's. Normal ISA's are as liquid as any other share account - they just happen to be tax exempt.
I feel like a teacher watching a class of 7 year olds. Everyone take a deep breath and chill the f'ck out. Let's get back to analysing the double spouted tea cup which is forming and lamenting over the lack of positive news coming from Tufan (Where is that very important big order.....). Let's try not to get too obsessed with what Dave suggested might happen this morning based on 300 projectiles being sent from Iran too Israel over the weekend...... If we're honest - most people on here would have assumed the SP would tank this morning if it weren't for the fairly swift de-escalation in the Middle East..... However only some typed out their thoughts to ultimately be proved wrong... I would suggest a de-escalation of the board with a "post a picture of your pet" post however the board isn't really taiilored to that. Happy Monday people :-)
When I first started following the events on twitter as the missiles / drones were on route I seriously thought this coud be the beginning of a huge conflict... As it transpired it was more posturing than anything - Iran pretty much old Israel what it was doing almost in the hope that Israel would shoot down all the incoming missiles and drones. Does Iran really have the stomach to take on Israel (and the US and Europe) ?? - It makes no sense to me - Iran would end up getting obliterated. Thankfully the market saw through the drama and saw the events for what they were.
@retirment "HL quoted me 4 days to use their service. but it's just one click to sell and one click to buy ! I did it in about 40 seconds !"
I have an HL account and have had a very different experience. After selling some shares in my share account in order to transfer the money into my ISA account it took 2 days for the money to "clear". I found this quite an astonishing amount of time. Am I doing something wrong?
Love the positivity NTC. I've been caught up in the negative vibes even though I know in my heart of hearts all will be good in the long run. I re-iterate when I first heard you touting £7 come Feb 2025 I thought you were a madman... I now think £7 is very much a low end estimate. Would still like to get over this mini hump sooner rather than later :-).... I've just got used to continual rises (which I know is not really what you should expect) I need to remember what share trading was like before I found RR :-)
Whatever form the Iranian retaliation takes the US has vowed to back Israel to the hilt. This could lead to quite a messy skirmish and undoubtedly negatively affect the SP.

@nick, Can the retail investors (who own 20% of the shares) really cause this much movement? Apparently RR employees were issued shares they could sell a few days ago (or shares they had matured...) - even if all of them sold it wouldn't equate to that much - and I'm presuming a fair proprtion would have held on... I understand a few nervous numpties may have sold when they saw the SP moving backwards (if they were late to the party).... but it's chicken feed in the grand scheme of things. I personally feel like going to sleep and waking up in a couple of weeks when matters have returned to normalcy.
@rr101....
A 20% correction (to me) implies that the market feels the share is somehow overhyped and not worthy of its current valuation. I realise it is sometimes difficult to gain a sensible perspective when you are sitting inside the buble of the LSE RR Chatboard however I would argue the recent gains to the RR SP are fully justified. When you compare Royce's value to similair companies (by revenue) in the same industry Royce's still seems way undervalued. The current dip doesn't really make sense to me. The Fundamentals haven't changed - and even GS' doom-mongering of the defence sector shouldn't really affect RR as their contracts are long term, high value and guranteed. Looks like it could do with a shot in the arm - perhaps Tufan could announce his big deal - probably too early for a trading update? AN other deal announcement wouldn't do any harm. Divi's will probably be announced at some point but not just yet. I've lost faith in SMR for the timebeing - no fault of RR - just the Government procrastinating. Unless I'm missing something it just doesn't make any sense to me...
Agreed. Royce's hasn't turned into a bad company overnight. Just a bad day at the office - could really do with some good news to cheer us all up... Tufan's "important deal" would be a good starter for ten. I did hear on the grapevine there was going to be some good news coming out of Japan... Is there a potential for a decent sized engine order from Japan?
"If only I’d sold at 430 and bought back at 405!!"..... I filled up my ISA this morning before the massive plunge.....I have faith though - Couple of days - maybe even a week or 2 - things should be back on track. As Solley said earlier the fundamentals haven't changed - RR hasn't become a bad company overnight - AND WE STILL HAVEN'T HAD TUFAN'S "BIG, VERY IMPORTANT, DEAL"
RR makes 26% of its revenue from Defence. Not as exposed as some other defence companies. Was a bit of a shock earlier when it just kept going down but seems to be recovering.... Blue by the end of the week??
