Wise management was to take opportunity to replace crusher at this time. Clever. As a result maintenance shutdown now in Q3 not Q2. Sales maintained from stockpile. Wise management.

Good point HarChris. I was thinking junior explorers in general but as you say when considering vanadium alone Bushveld are so far ahead of most.

Agreed Hippy. Many of the junior explorers around in 2013/14/15 are still just that or gone bust. Still taking the talk but delivering nothing. Wannabe miners.

The rejuvenation of BMN finances is a journey that began 2 years ago with the programme of refurbishment of Vametco and Vanchem. That essential work was successfully completed and the last few RNSs have demonstrated the much improved production.

Recently we have seen solid V prices and a beneficial Dollar Rand rate. Q1 update will continue the story. It is by no means the end point but hopefully we will see more progress indicating a positive 2023. Q1 is likely to have been a very profitable start to the year.

Growing demand for electrolyte for VRFBs should support V prices and hopefully nudge them upwards, benefitting BMN through both electrolyte and vanadium sales.

The market has yet to see hard evidence of profit and perhaps some skepticism is understandable. In my opinion that evidence is not too far away.

Still unable to admit that BMN have made substantial operational progress over the last two years. Are you simply being awkward for the sake of it or do you genuinely not get it?

I get your point about share price. It’s ridiculously low. I agree that PR is poor and I understand the mistrust of the market for a company that has recorded losses in the past.

But that is past performance.

Do you agree that the upgrades at both plants over the last two years have increased production and that combined with V prices higher than AISC profitability has returned? If not then what is your evidence?
Do you agree that the Dollar Rand rate is now beneficial to BMN? If not what is your evidence?
Do you agree that from all available information and unless otherwise informed the electrolyte plant should be. Commissioned by end of H1? If not why not?
Do you agree that the company have said that they are discussing a number of options re debt settlement? If not why not?

Beginerman I responded to your post which only focussed on the share price and dismissed all the positive operational progress made by the company by saying and I quote : “My point was that potential investors should not believe the almost daily regurgitated positives that at the end of the day are just opinions garnered from there own reading and interpretation of information, which at the end of the day, judged by the downward trend of the SP has proved to be poor opinions.”

That is such nonsense!!!

When I post the positives I refer to are fact. Eg Q4 record group production. Yes of course I give my interpretation of that. These bbs are designed as a platform for opinions. However as far as I am concerned the fact is the positive. You just knock all attempts by myself and others to identify positives in BMN progress despite the share price. Now why would you do that?

What is interesting is that you are unable to dispute the specific positives but just use the usual catch all generalisation as above to dismiss those opinions. Your last comment in that quote is not only very patronising to every shareholder that has a positive opinion about BMN progress it is also nonsense. Because the share price is low you are saying that for example any opinion that thinks record Q production in Q4 is a positive is a poor opinion because the share price is low. Are you for real?

There are so many factual positives about the operational progress made over the last two years. If you are struggling to recognise that then that is quite sad.

Hopefully delivered this week if past pattern is adhered to.

I expect Vametco to continue at similar level to Q4 if the sustainable production is maintained.
I hope Vanchem production will exceed Q4 record level but will have to wait and see how much impact load shedding has had.
I expect further update on Belco confirming H1 commissioning.
I would like an indication of costs and of V price achieved
Not sure if cash situation will be reported.

My advice to everyone is read the RNS carefully once published as they are usually complex and contain a lot more info than I have listed above.

Cindercone I agree PR is rubbish at times. I agree the share price is ridiculous. I have posted similar many times. Why the taunt “Classic Pdub response?

Now let’s pay attention to operational performance. It is fact that the last few RNSs have been very positive concerning Vametco production. Also progress at Vanchem but has been hindered to some extent by load shedding and the company have negotiated new arrangements to offset that. Also progress with electrolyte plant to be commissioned in H1. And V price at profitable level. And Dollar rand really helping BMN.

Investors are interested in PRESENT numbers and FUTURE performance. The past has gone. The EVIDENCE above suggests that the FUTURE looks very positive for BMN and its shareholders. Live in the past if you wish. I am forward looking.

Cindercone HarChris is exactly right. Q4 results probably this week. Why are you not waiting for those rather than displaying such aggression towards the CEO? If results are poor then you can gloat all you like but I find it strange that you still seek to damage the reputation of a CEO who may be about to deliver

However you have to walk before you can run. BMN wisely acquired two existing vanadium production plants. That transformed the company and was achieved far more quickly and at far cheaper cost than building new.

However those plants have required updating and BMN over the last two years have successfully achieved that. The walking part delivered. Now we will start seeing the results of the upgrades through increased production, reduced costs and a return to profitability. That symbolically is the running part and it begins in 2023.

Cliche I know but patience required.

Now if you don’t believe that then sell now. If you do then perhaps this will represent a great buy in price. That is something only each individual investor can decide.

Personally I cannot remember a time when BMN has looked such a bargain but that is just my opinion.

It is not difficult to work out a general feel for the present profits.

Price of Vanadium is published. Quite volatile so not easy to work out average, particularly with prices varying between markets, but enough to approximate.

Costs per kgV published by the company so again enough info to get a rough idea.

Dollar Rand easy to track so impact on costs (mostly in rand) and revenue (in US $) certainly not rocket science.

No one knows the precise state of BMN finances until published. HOWEVER there is sufficient information as above in the public domain to know when they are likely to be making a decent profit. And all the evidence points to Q1 being very profitable.

Just like 2016.

Today has exactly the same feel only the company is in a stronger position now
