DTN, is that a serious post?? They bought almost 17% of the outstanding shares in less than a year! Them not buying at a higher price doesn't at all mean they think it's overvalued, they are just happy to own what they have without adding more. If they thought it was overvalued why would they not sell? You don't help yourself.

I mean, just because people disagree doesn't mean a view shouldn't be shared. But it needs to also have some detail, not just commentary on the share price going up and down. Yes, I mean I sold a lot of my stocks in Nov21 before the first rate hike in the UK and that was the right call, but that doesn't mean that will continue being the right call. If you keep quoting your track on being right, there will be a moment when you are on the other side and someone else is talking about how wrong you were. I just want this board to focus on views with facts/opinions to back them up. Take the commentary elsewhere.

DTN, do you ever post actual views or just commentate on what is obvious and quite evident? There is plenty of space on daily mail or the like for you to do this, and your audience might actually be interested.

Looking at the price action, it's easy to suggest that shorts are winning. But I actually think we are close to a squeeze here. The move lower in spite of huge short unwinds is basically trying to flush out sellers, and I just don't see the volume. Each day PIs sell to allow the short base to unwind in fact reduces the free float even more (we know MA bot a lot of the initial short selling and that isn't going anywhere). Of course fundamental news would be the nail in the coffin for shorts, but yet to see that materialise. Overall, still feels the risk profile is stacked in favour of patient investors.

Yes, it has been a sound investment and is ultimately just that for now, not really adding anything to the business in terms of profitability etc.

What I think is more valuable is the read across in valuation given it is virtually the same market and listed on the same exchange.

RevbB currently trades at 0.4x P/S, 1.1x P/Gross Profit, 42x P/Op FCF ~ which implies the following valuations for Boohoo, 51p, 75p and 391p respectively ie its just cheap right now and remember our shares give access to this very business we are comparing!

Looking at this recent move, there are a lot of similarities to the January basing near the daily 100MA. I do think given the lack of volume there is still some downside here. However, if we can close above the 100MA, I expect a test of the 40a in the coming week(s). Just my take.

Marshall Wace down again, -0.08% to 1.19%. Seems like they used yesterdays volume to unwind c1mm shares.

The market makers are lowering their bid offer to find potential sellers but they risk having a buyer take out their offer volume and have to search for new volume at higher prices.

Searching for volume and finding none at these levels. At some point they will just get lifted out of their offers.

Evening JeremyP, personally not a huge user of that chart pattern but I don't think it is live until it hits the recent cup high ie 40p (Aug peak), then need to see a shallow retrace to confirm the pattern. Hope that helps.

Their Manchester HQ is directly owned by Boohoo and consolidated onto the balance sheet. All other locations are also 100% owned by Boohoo but indirectly owned via subsidiaries of Boohoo. P141 in the latest annual statement clarifies this.

For the technical enthusiasts out there, I have spoken about two main trend lines over the last few weeks, one which was broken in mid-Oct (trend line following the 3rd Apr and 7th Aug peaks, based on keltner breakouts) and more recently broken on 14th Nov (trend line following 19th May and 7th Aug peaks, based on embedded triangle). This shallower trendline, just saw a "throwback" this morning, with the opening drop touching the trend and bouncing strongly off it, technically speaking what we like to see in breakouts to show that the trendline is indeed a new base. This is just food for thought but something i have been following closely alongside fundamentals and technical picture around shorts. Hope everyone has a good Fri!

Marshall Wace and Citadel reducing for me is the big indication. Given MWs much higher entry into the short makes their reduction of almost 0.25% in the last two weeks very interesting. Ennismore short is large vs the fund size, they need to be very sure on the timing here. Eleva Capital haven't event entered the picture and they have 20mm+ shares shorted @ 37.11.

Literally no volume at these levels. Sellers just not biting here and suspect the unwinds are keen to get there hands on more shares after already unwinding at these levels. It's a delicate act, short unwinds don't want to show their hand too much otherwise the b/o will be back at 36h in no time. Markets generally in flux today so this is not surprising but the unique state of this stock both fundamentally garbaged by all commentators and technically on a knife edge puts it high up on the volatility list going forward.

I think this is a healthy consolidation, market moved a fair amount in the lead up to and post inflation prints. The shorts only reduced net 0.15% on the day of the US CPI print ~ 1.15mm shares were bough back across the shorts (incl Ennismore increasing by 0.05%). 14mm shares traded that day, meaning a large part of the move higher was from new buyers/current owners of the stock. Will be interesting to dissect yesterday's move after close today but overall this move is healthy. Ultimately, the 100SMA is now turning upwards, and has historically acted as a positive base for the share to move higher.

I agree with this and reflecting shares that just won't be sold here, incl MK and MA, this number as you say is higher and closer to 20%.

It's not as common in the UK market but frankly we are as close as we can get to one right now. Macro news surprising to upside and if we get any company specific RNS such as a re-rating of guidance to show higher revenues vs the trading update outlook, then this is ripe. One short seller under water, another getting close to entry and then a couple in the lm40s px context. Very hard to predict but the current setup is as close as you can hold for one. How long the squeeze lasts also as important.

GSA down -2% on this position now and Eleva Capital entry @ 37.11. We are going to finally see some short unwind action here.
