Hi HBD - think there’s in the region of 20m share warrants that could be exercised so potential 15% dilution as we stand, like to think any “deal” would bring a significant enough increase in sp to pacify any exercising of current position.

Agree TM taking backseat suggests he maybe wishing to call it a day, wouldn’t be surprised if SP is also looking for closure given age, hence maybe his stepping up to CEO, jiggling SRA737 back in and the stony silence until he’s ready - who knows?

I visit the other end of the Atlantic Highway at Mawgan Porth, albeit, with friends at Tresparrett I do occasionally venture up “north”.

Been visiting Cornwall since the early 70’s, and in that time lived there for 5 years, have family down there in both Newquay and Falmouth, and yep seen all the changes (where hasn’t changed) but still a more than frequent visitor.

I for one, have learnt a lot about the science and been able to understand more about the “whole”, so thanks to them both and trust they continue to post and share their research.

Likewise yourself Krone - for me, SRA737 could be the “deal” that takes us out the doldrums and provides the platform for Sareum to “commercialise” both SDC- 1801 & 1802 to a pharma of likeminded intent!

Sareum must still see something in SRA737 that CRT didn’t, otherwise, why would SP leverage an agreement to bring it back in when cash runway is limited - personally, I think the MHRA done more damage to Sareum’s progress than any large Pharma and SP has under extreme financial pressure tenaciously worked away at getting us back on track!

Lifestyle Company, again my opinion I think not, just a very small biotech who got “gazumped” by a lazy CRT led contract and a useless uninspired Government run MHRA - hopefully it comes off as the reality is the compounds appear to show great potential but are in their infancy when compared to some of the compounds they are being “discussed” with.

For me, the business model was to on license early, hopefully, SRA737 can be the first and provide decent “funds” for others to follow, after all, time stops for no one!!

Morning, a bemusing start, followed by a succinct response, all I can say is in reality we have much unfounded as well as unfunded potential which is being looked at within our current cash limits - the BBB angle is just a result of that!

People ask what are Sareum doing, think BBB has provided an indication whilst we are actually carry out trials on one of our compounds!!

In fairness, whilst SRA737 was returned in Dec ‘24 to CRT, Sareum only acquired “ownership” of the license on 13th March ‘25 as per RNS - given CRT didn’t wish to pursue, one can reasonably surmise that Sareum by taking back in have seen an opportunity, a process that would have a timeframe - in the Corporate Contract world less than 6 months would be bloody marvellous, 6-9 months good, within 12 months probably the norm - obvious caveat, if the opportunity doesn’t arise, you start again, no need to RNS as nothing declared!

All knife edge stuff, but, given SP’s comments hopefully a red dot looms in the next month or so and is all very positive 🤞

Laz - below is an extract from Edison Nov 2024, reading through I still think studies will be required once the optimal indication has been decided upon, albeit, the similarity of 1801 and 1802 as compounds may help the progression of phase 1 trials - I’m sure the scientific posters will probably give a clearer response (above is just my limited opinion) - hope it helps!

Beyond SDC-1801: Activity expected to accelerate

Following the recent financing, Sareum has indicated that it will accelerate translational and pre-clinical development work on SDC-1802, it second TY2/JAK1 asset, which is being developed for oncology indications, an area where we note that the role of JAK inhibitors is not as well established. The company intends to work on translational studies to identify an optimal cancer indication and patient population before undertaking further toxicology and manufacturing studies. The drug holds a patent covering the molecular and pharmaceutical preparations of SDC‐1802 in the treatment of T‐cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia and other cancers (granted in April 2022). We look forward to further news on the preclinical progression of SDC-1802.

Hi HBD - likewise, I have the caution, but, do think we have a very good chance of the science being on the right track - just wish in TM we had a more proactive personality, the conduit between science (JR) and commercial (SP) appears muted for some reason, which I do find baffling in such a small setup!

Nothing a good old positive RNS can’t sort !!

Hi HBD - I’m certain JR will following the studies like a hawk, analysing data as it comes off the press and progresses to the conclusion of the 16 week period we have participated in “as advised” - Toxicity Studies do not cease, we are only achieving a tick box hopefully to progress a commercial interest I presume.

On a separate note, I’m quite intrigued with the GSK announcement “risky-ma-move” as it appears they will edge their bets on gaining “pipeline”, which as Brighty mentions potentially makes Sareum an interest to the “Acquisition” boys!!

It would be naive to think that GSK will just throw money here there and everywhere, but, they know of Sareum, our pipeline fits their aims and as I write I’m not aware we have any deal in place (which could easily be gazumped if there was) - all I know is if I was in “Acquisition” within GSK with the remit of find a pipeline that we can progress, I’d be saying “Hello Emma …….

Anyway, just a thought!

Appreciate responses, however, you’ve just highlighted my concerns, we can only surmise what is being carried out in the “16 week” study (which took 6 months to initiate) and any connection with commercialisation.

In fairness, I think all the discussions/scenarios have been done on the bb and we are all just going round in circles - is it impatience, frustration, lack of understanding, who knows? - but, a decent RNS on our current status objectively leading to a revaluation of our sp wouldn’t go amiss, hopefully, SP is getting “data” from TM to do so - sooner rather than later!

Something that niggles at the back of my grey cells - given dosages will be increased I presume in measured units on both species, what happens if MTD is not reached within stated 16 weeks - do we continue as surely that’s the point of the study!

My great fear is continued “research” against “commercialisation” and both the dilution and timelines that it brings - risk v reward was SP’s mantra!

You mentioned in your conversation with TM at the AGM he was relieved to be out of the financial business side of Sareum, that was SP’s responsibility! - hopefully, he still has a hunger to deliver and remembers that he has a duty of care as a BoD member to provide the “Science” data in a timely manner for SP to perform, the “Peer Review” springs to mind!!

Hoping, “ best in class” doesn’t become “what class” given the increased numbers of biotechs and the accelerated development of preclinical studies/deals in the current pharmaceutical world!

Appreciate, the BoD can’t make up news, but, extremely surprised that we are approaching August and everything appears on a “knife edge” rather than a positive progression which would reflect on the sp!

Agree Hopkirk, I always wondered if new CEO statement was just to appease shareholders given where we were at that point - TM stepping down suggests he wants out and SP wouldn’t really have an influential role under new regime, so needed time to progress science and value and sell the lot - JR can continue as lead scientist with the new set up on his terms!

I’m sure there will be many opinions - the beauty of the bb.
