My thoughts too LSBM - we can’t afford a joint broker and our current value is not encouraging to raise, but, “specialist” advice is needed in any major transaction- maybe a play for 737?

Totally agree, the BoD have stated what they’re doing, let JR get on with his stated task and hopefully SP actively engaged on SRA737 - approx 8 weeks to AGM, could be a completely different scenario to now, or then the time to ask questions if no progress on last week’s presentation.

That’s me until the AGM, now off to enjoy some Cornish sea air!!

For me, yesterday was all about reassuring the market and us shareholders that SDC-1801 wasn’t the cause of the Toxicity Study cessation.

I noted TM’s presentation of the “Financial’s” was clear and concluded very quickly and the cost of the new study will be covered by existing “cash” mentioned repetitively throughout by all 3 - what wasn’t mentioned was how this “cash” is to be replenished going forward into 2026.

I have one immediate question:-

Are we going to Vienna, if so, will SP be attending as that would have some meaningful attendance if any active engagement is happening - if not, we are told SRA737 is actively being chased so hopefully something soon!

The AGM will be the platform to push for clarity of finances in 2026 if the above is not the answer!

I think people’s strategies will change all the time, wether they be pensioners or not - mine have, purely based on dilution alone I have different targets to where we were in ‘21 and they could with a fair wind be achieved on the basis of today’s RNS!

I think you will find it wasn’t BB - out of courtesy, I will leave said holder to communicate if he wishes to.

“Sobering” presentation which I think everyone would have taken yesterday morning, a pathway stated with 1802 and AI/CNS progression - caution on formulation for Toxicity Studies and “cash” okay for the moment - be good to get some form of commercialisation of SRA737 soon.

Other than that, the lesson I’ve learnt is wait for the BoD to speak even if it is infrequent.

Agree HBD, I would also add sometimes mistake’s are made in business that you can’t control - you then have consider whether commercially and financially it’s viable to chase - or is your time better spent getting on with your business aim?

I’m reminded of Plato’s quote:-

Going forward, firstly thanks to SP for delivering the RNS in a positive and reassuring manner - secondly, I’ve learnt there is no clear pathway in drug development as this toxicity study has proved.

Everyone is entitled to their views, both negative and positive, just some appear foolish!!

Or it’s a draw a line in the sand and realise where we are, learn from the mistakes and take forward what we have in a positive and professional manner - we may be down and wait on 1801 update, as an investor I’ill ride it out as above.

Of course, I accept I could easily put a negative spin on it all if that’s my agenda to get the clamour of the bb - but it’s not!

Evening Hopkirk, I with you on this - last year’s Final’s RNS by way of example.

I understand the frustration here, I have my own - but, not sure I get some of “frenzied” dialogue aimed at the BoD, after all, the choice to buy was optional to each and every individual - the last RNS was “science” related, which I believe is the remit of JR and TM ( if he is still part of the working team) not SP, so not sure of the constant berating - for what’s it worth I believe he “saved” this Company following RF debacle which was under TM’s leadership as CEO.

If the “science” has failed, yes, we are “knackered” as per one of the threads today - at the moment, with the information available ( and subject to further update) we have “skin in the game”

Let’s see what is said one way or the other tomorrow, it will also relieve Enki of having to post immaturely every 5 minutes!

Fully acknowledge your views regarding CRO under this thread as you have mentioned often.

In my mind, I always queried as my understanding is a CRO is an independent and impartial set up for “trials” and certainly would be questionable in giving “advice” on trials that have a commercial relevance and they are then conducting!

I do think Sareum have had talks with various parties, but, as a very small biotech they have to play the pipers tune, some of whom we never hear who they are/were - SRA737 last year a prime example!!

Agree with your views on meet tomorrow and what can be said as things stand RNS wise at the moment.

The RNS is clear in the action taken and the next steps:-

“Accordingly, dosing has now been terminated, and the study will be formally closed following completion of scheduled analyses and reporting activities.”

Be interesting to know how long for the later, not a “two day” turn round imo.

As previously stated, I’m waiting for the BoD to clarify and hopefully restore shareholder’s confidence in both their abilities and Sareum as a positive commercial entity!

Hi potnak, it was also mentioned in the “initiation” RNS to run parallel to toxicity studies - my confusion/concern, I read it as being separate to the toxicity study (conducted by CRO) and that doesn’t appear the case - original scope keeps niggling me.

Anyway, no more second guessing for me I’ill wait the update from the BoD and hopefully, we can rebuild from here!

The John guy you mentioned was Johnnie Leigh-Smith, his proposal of putting the Company on the market at £2.35 a share (which I disagreed with) sounds a “steal” at the moment!

Perhaps because they should have stayed with the original scope as RNS’d and get Phase 2 ready or is that just c’est le vie in your world?

We have gone through all the debacles from MHRA, RF, “Form an orderly queue”, “it’s in the shop window”, ceased Toxicity Study et all and where are we? as Silverfoil kindly informed us “ open your legs and show us your class”…..perhaps they should have ….. if only BoD will kindly enlighten us what is going on!!

Time for some real clarity as I really hope that we are actually “ best in class” in the biotech world and not travelling salesmen selling brooms and brushes outside Bio Convention venues!

Not a rant, a major concern on how a potentially great business is performing!!
