This should give an indication as to how attractive Ecuador is for mining at present.

To be fair the whole point of Manara Minerals is to invest in global mining assets to secure minerals for processing plants that they are planning to build. Whether they end up building them is a different conversation.

Would have been interested to read it in context. Ive wondered if they will do a pilot hole (what I would consider a pilot hole anyway) but given the rate they are apparently going to excavate the actual tunnel they would need to get cracking. They intend to go at a very, very fast pace! That being said I dont see much of a point to do one given the tunneling methodology they are using - that been said ive never used blast and drill so maybe im missing something obvious.

I think your mixing things there - Noboa was in UAE on the 30th. He was supposed to be going to Saudi the next day. But never read that he did.

If memory servers Noboa was supposed to go to KSA around the time he visited the UAE. Not sure it happened in the end but it was referenced in the press at the time - It was April or May. Dont recall reading of any visits by Saudi officials to Quito.

Jack the minister with the mining brief is in Brazil (at least she was yesterday). Notwithstanding this the minister who is responsible for the CIPA is in Washington, he would also more likely be the one responsible for briefs such as critical minerals deals. Its still not apparent where Noboa is but I would concede it does look, on the balance of probabilities, likely that he will be in Washington today or/& tomorrow.

Should make it far easier to raise money - lot easier to lend money when you know your capital is protected. Dont forget CIPA is referenced in the Franco contract.

It actually says no one is suggesting a takeover in the article. Its about the CIPA but gives a different (larger) number than the 3.2 billion in the RNS.

I never said he was going to meet Trump. He is going to the USA from the 18th to the 20th as per the Ecuadorian press and Executive Decree 218 which was issued on November 17. No itinerary for the trip has been provided. Given Trump is hosting the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia today it clearly wont be today - however that doesnt mean he wont on one of the two other days of his trip.
