RE: Masks8 Aug 2020 13:08
I'm not sure how many people (and remember this is based on Twitter posts!) are probing their website, the tweet is below:
"UPDATE: In line with new government guidelines, all customers will be required to wear face coverings at all times whilst visiting our cinemas from tomorrow.
Face coverings can only be removed to consume food and drink."
It didn't go down well. Pull down mask, touch food, touch face, pull up mask, rinse (well you can't rinse) and repeat.
Schools might reopen once teachers pay is threatened, secondary school pupils are being advised to wear masks, and other such rubbish.
I'm extremely thankful they are opening as I'm stuck a tidy sum, just drawing attention to the lower footfall and negative sentiment all shops have received since the mask rules came into force. Grabbing a loaf of bread, people will put on a mask for 5 mins, sitting for 2 hours, I'm not so sure that's the main message their ad campaign should be focusing on.
@TP I was asking for a statement saying it wouldn't be enforced, that way there is no ambiguity as in supermarkets. No one wants a confrontation in front of a crown about a disability, the public statements were met with great thanks from the disabled community that I saw.
@In2Win Interesting to see if they update their page from today...
