Out of interest generally what's the health status and age of the patients that are coming in?

People talk about how we could see 100 dead a day from Covid... ooo scary! Completely discounting the age, health and fact that 1500 people die a day in this country - unfortunately we haven;t yet cured death. With Flu currently accounting for 10x the deaths and cancer and heart disease killing 700+ it really boggles the mind we are still talking about Covid.

Whilst simultaneously ignoring the crying calls from swarms of scientists and evidence from the control group Sweden (and to be fair Wuhan is back to normal fgs!) 90% of positives are false with such low prevalence and to be honest anyone with 10 mins and a desire could rip apart the current policies, and all of them since April. I won't waste your time and mine listing them all, just a frustrating few days, hopefully common sense will prevail - look out of your window the world is not coming to and end and the same amount of old people are dying as is always the case, the cause this time around is up for debate is all.

It wasn't serious really, the deaths at the end of the year are likely to be similar to any other year, if we hadn't been told about it we wouldn't know. Old people die sadly. There's a great graph showing all cause mortality doing the rounds and 2020 is barely a blip and lower than some recent years.

I'm not sure which theories you are referring to, drinking your body weight in methanol probably will kill covid and you (from the first link)! The Government themselves downgraded Covid's status declaring it not a high consequence infectious disease on March 19th and clearly the numbers have show this to be true. Let me know which way to adjust my tinfoil.

8 80+ or deathly ill people died today with a seasonal respiratory illness, guess how long that's been happening for? Yup, as long as there have been 80+ yr old and deathly ill people. I wonder what the other 1500 died of in the UK who sadly expire every single day....

Talking this over today at work, the results will be telling. Are we really a UK based AMC, have the results been slipped to those special few early hence the low prices. Is the general sentiment around the UK, terrible handling of covid, wrecked economy and possible lockdowns and I guess Brexit causing big money to stay away. We certainly don;t have the Robin-hood recovery play numbers and enthusiasm that AMC may well have benefited from, despite being a US majority business, do eople really understand that point? Results may wake a few up to that fact if they are good (or less bad).

I posted on the AMC forums on Yahoo a couple of times about a similar investment that was currently 70% off, Regal aka CINE.

Also why don't people buy the US shares of CINE, I know it's lightly traded but it does seem to be the exact same company, presumably they would buy there and we would see a rise to prevent arbitrage opportunities.... Maybe that is the one thing that makes AMC and CINE different in recovery, the exchange and so the customer pool.

Although how you bought at 653.28p, never below 48p and got a 48p average doesn't really make sense so maybe I am misunderstanding there...?

I would speak to 212, I don't want to advise you wrong, but my Account Value is total, if it says 9k it's 9k, it's not 9k plus what I sell that's already accounted for and it goes up and down as the price fluctuates during trading hours. Using the web client I can see my Live Result (how much I am up or down based on current holdings/open positions), my Free Funds, Portfolio and my Account Value, 'account value' is free funds plus share value for a total if I were to sell up now and cash out all. This is on the 'ISA' and 'Invest' trading pages, as for CFDs I'm not sure.

Actually I have .5832 as the current price, there are two values on the main web based trading page, I suspect it's buy vs sell price (or one could be the middle of the buy/sell), either way the math posted before is close.

So 10k shares on 212 at a current price of .5840 should show as a current value of £5840.
To have 10k shares at an average of 48p means those shares average out to have cost you £4800.

The statement I must admin I don't look at too often but the main trading screen should show you (bottom right) the Account Value (share value plus cash) and the Portfolio Value (shares value) and also you can extrapolate profit from the Result - the Result is only what is in play now though, the history will show you profit / loss for money withdrawn/deals settled.

Don't be ridiculous - R0 doesn't work for low numbers, also did you see the CDC stated 90% of cases they detected as positive in a few areas where trials were done found the people to be symptom free and non-infectious. IN OTHER WORDS healthy normal people. The PCR test is a joke, anyone basing policy decisions on it is also a joke , the creator stated it should not be and cannot be used in this way, amplify the trace until enough is found. If this wasn't on the news you wouldn't even be looking for a virus that killed like 6 people this week (and 6 times less than the flu).

CDC confirmed recently that only 6% of the deaths were directly from Covid, all the rest had an average of 2.6 serious conditions and were very old.

Eventually this farce has to be dropped, it's getting harder and harder to believe this is just hysteria and incompetency on the part of governments but boy do I hope so.

Side note, did you know that the amount of people who died in 9/11 was estimated to have been dwarfed the following year by the amount of people that died as a result of the extra 10% increase in road traffic, over typical road deaths as a result of a reduction in people feeling it was safe to drive.

Humans really are rubbish at calculating real risk.
