I don't think this resource is big enough for bp

First of all I have to say I've no issue with ORCA raising funds, never did, but thoughts did occur this morning when I read the RNS:

1. Why £350k, a not insubstantial amount - if we're still on track to sign a JV by end of Nov couldn't we have raised less at this lower SP level and more afterwards? Perhaps the investor stipulated nothing less than that amount.

2. Why at a discount? If you believe everything the company is telling you this is a pretty sweet setup, so why not at par or even a premium for what could be essentially a short term profitable situation?

3. I know timelines can only be indicative in this game, especially with long JV agreements - so I'm prudently going to assume that this amount was raised incase there's a slip in the Nov 31st deadline, and given Dec is a short month, I wouldn't be surprised if it slipped to 2024.

None of that worries/concerns me as long as we're still on track and fundamentals haven't /don't change, which I don't expect in the short term. But I'm also not expecting any great things in the SP - not that is until the JV is officially announced.

Why the discount though? I mean...

End of Oct - okay I'm putting it at end of the year, to hopefully be concluded within the non-binding offtake MOU timeframe.

What constitutes an 'investors timeframe'?

Pretty informative and positive statement with some hard facts to us some hope:

" The Respondents' Attorneys also confirmed that the areas covered by Exploration Licence 168 shall be protected during the proceedings and not be awarded to any third party thereby safeguarding the Company's rights. In recent discussions with the Department of Coast Conservation and Coastal Resource Management ("CCD") the CCD also confirmed that, as the Company has completed the Environmental Impact Assessment over the relevant area, no third party can obtain a mining licence over the same area. "

I think most serious money will be waiting for the JV confirmation. So end of Nov deadline is crucial, short term.

I'm not at all concerned about a small raise to keep them going but if deadline is extended or jv not agreed it may weigh on sp.

CMET need resolution of our specific issue as quickly as possible so I hope they are constantly pushing THAT agenda rather than mere profile raising exercises.

You have to ask yourself. Is the only reason this ticked up very, very slightly because you two bought?
