Yup. Rumour I've heard is that Stroll could sell Racing Point to Mazepin, and buy out Mercedes F1 with Wolff.

Mercedes have stated their long term commitment to F1.... BUT, that could just mean regarding engines. I believe they have achieved far more then they ever dreamt possible brand wise, from here there can't really gain much more - so want out.

So IMHO there IS a chance that Lewis could win the world title next year wearing green.... if this scenario plays out.

Looking at the trades yesterday.... Seller NOT out.
Too many sequential sells at precisely 300k 150k etc into every peak. That is clearly offloading a large amount steadily.

I would suspect that they've increased many short positions right now, in anticipation of a widespread market adjustment.

Looks to me like the start of the market correction that most have been expecting... especially as an increase gold at the same time. Dow still heading downhill sharply, FTSE always follows.

I took chunks out of all my large holdings this afternoon.... perhaps a few hours slow. But 70% cash now to take the opportunities when they arise. Especially here!

I can't see many jumping in when the spread is 20% right now!

This dip isn't AML specific.... FTSE is FUBAR'd. DOW too. Everything will be down for a while now I suspect.

Yup... the issue with last weeks peak then fast drop, many will have been sat there since in the red - just waiting for the first opportunity to sell at a profit. Which is now.

When we just need to close the screen down... go out an enjoy the sun.

Selling on a red day across the board will generally just lose you money even short term - best sit on your hands IMO, or step away from the computer. It''l come back around when the world is less grumpy - maybe even just after lunch.

I'm not surprised that shorters are bitter little sods. All that negativity, wishing for failure.... that's gonna keep into your whole mindset, it's impossible for it not to.

Personally I do think we'll see a brief dip after the results - but I'm not worried, it'll recover fast.

Countering that... there is every possibility that whilst presenting the results, they announce something positive to balance out the bad news, and send it stratospheric!

Yup... I'm with ya! Human nature and common sense winning over though isn't it. Similar cased here. But when sat there looking at it at 28p or whatever, heavily in the red after buying higher up - it's a big leap of faith to dive in with more! I eventually averaged down at 34p... then back to blue a few days later. which gives you the confidence to plug more in! Which again is common sense... as this SP could drop 50% and I'd still be up now. Maybe we need to be fighting our own intuition to win the biggest....

Although.... Aston Martin as a brand cannot die. De-rampers oft spout about going bankrupt 7 times.... proof is there ;o) The brand will always be bought out, rescued, reformed - until someone gets the model right. The majority here are banking on that it's Stroll & Co who gets it right. And I think he will. If it's not, so be it - for sure I'll be still there for the next iteration of Aston Martin to show Ferrari and Lamborghini how it's done.
