Great post SB_1964, anyone calling this a hoax about as bright as those calling Covid a hoax and the vaccine an excuse to micro-chip everyone. Probably the same people.

Not sure how that even works, 5 doses of vaccine per bottle I think? How many chips per bottle? how would the vaccinator know what chip was injected into which vaccinatee? Think I just invented a new word there :-)

I once panicked and sold at a loss because I believed all the posts about Harry being a con man, scammer or whatever but since then I bought back in. Obviously I hope that was the right decision and that my renewed faith in Harry is rewarded with the TK finance being signed-off - this month - and possibly more to follow from Hawiah and JQ.

14p or so still a good discount to the NAV of around 20p, but when - oh, when? - will the SP get anywhere near that?

Thanks shaa and Commuter Duvall, I did say 'seemingly' as frankly I don't have a clue, just see what's in front of me when it come to buys/sells, but as hopingforbags always says better to look at total trades then at least you know that is factual - except of course when millions show up after hours and skew it all in the MM's favour, presumably?

I can't see any FOMO here, just crazy sells - seemingly - pulling the SP down a little.

It's going to be a LOOOOONG weekend waiting for Monday's update, only then will we know if today's dumpers were wise owls that took a profit or crazy horses that missed out on something big.

I see the CTH deadline was extended again for both DBay and the Sheikh Holdings Consortium until 5pm on 27th June, clearly both parties still pursuing a deal with CTH that suits the successful bidder - if a firm offer is submitted - and CTH.

Appear to be some good buys here today and the SP edging back up, most curious.

Still watching......

The share consolidation was approved at the AGM as reported in RNS on 24th May.
I'm not invested here and a total novice but took me about 6 seconds to find that information, surely anyone invested here was already aware of this?

Not the case at all officemanager, just yet to see anything that anyone has stated as fact here come true, and stating what will happen with no evidence to support any such claim is just nonsense.
And you have the nerve to reply to another poster saying "post a true fact" when you are merely speculating.

If I hear about "the churn" once more I will scream. And guessing what the SP will do means nothing, getting to 1p+ does not guarantee any discovery of anything, except maybe dust.
Only a confirmed discovery it seems will lead to any rise in the SP here and we are all praying for that as the alternative is terrible for most PI's.

Snap! I'm holding a million too and really have no choice now but to hold - and hope - for a result, otherwise would have to sell at around 30% loss today.

Not a nice position to be in but paid the money, have to accept the risk.

Ok, I have managed to find Esken's Report & Accounts for year ending Feb '21 and there are certainly 5 entries in different sections relating to LDG (formerly Eddie Stobart Logistics), the investments Esken have made in it, and the £53.1M placed into a 5-year exchangeable bond in May 2019. I also see they state the increase in net debt from FY2019 to FY2020 is due to the inclusion of £53.1m of bonds so guessing that is when it was written-down?

Ah, hang on, now I see something - LDG's list of significant shareholders (dated 31.12.20) lists Stobart Group Limited as holding 64,149,500 shares or 11.42% - that's the same total holding declared in Esken's Report so they are or were declared as a significant shareholder. I didn't make the connection before.

By God it's far too complicated for the likes of me to understand.

I think I'll leave it there but clearly more to LDG's present situation than simply having a giant pot of cash and the CTH investment, still curious exactly what it all means though.

Worryingly, I find myself coming here MORE for the humour and LESS for the (alleged) facts. Maybe because I understand humour and don't understand the stock market? Maybe that depends on the humour?

Why doesn't the 58m shareholding appear on LDG's list of significant shareholders?

Ok, can someone PLEASE tell me why, with today's RNS saying exactly what everyone wanted to see i.e. drilling on schedule NO problems or hold-ups reported, the SP has gone DOWN again?
And please don't say they are still off-loading the 1.4billion shares, that was supposedly ending time & time again as @Twistedgenius says. I can believe they caused some issues and are still churning about in the market place, but all this positive news from Sasanof has to be just that, positive.
Discovery please, then maybe we will see a rise from here. Possibly. Hopefully.

Fortunately they are only issuing 1,560,229 warrant shares, barely enough to trouble the SP of the existing 618-odd million shares in issue. Even the next (possible) issue of another 2 million shouldn't cause us any problems, tiny percentages relative to the current issue.
We should only be really concerned if they wanted to issue 100's of millions, then we'd be looking at dilution unless a discovery was already announced and a further fundraise is necessary, which at some point it almost certainly will be unless they can get a partner to put the discovery into production.
IMO, no expert here but think that all sounds about right.
Sure someone will tell me otherwise if I have read it wrong (NO exclamation mark!) D'oh!

Notwithstanding the 'usual' funnies on here - unfounded speculation, SP guesses, chance of success, friendly (and occasionally not-so-friendly) banter - the typos alone are worth being here for!
Sometimes, well most of the time, I don't have a clue what is going on, but it's never not funny.

Your memory probably better than mine, plus your experience and depth of knowledge/understanding almost certainly greater.
If Esken still hold 60m shares in LDG that would make them a significant shareholder - about 10.70% - but this isn't showing in LDG's list of significant shareholders?
I can't see anything on Esken's results for YE 28.02.22 that mentions anything about LDG or a £53m bond either.
Maybe there's no longer any connection?
Or maybe - and more likely - I don't know where to look for such information :-)

It's all very well posters saying DYOR but these are the same posters providing much of the compelling or not-so compelling information. I try to read as many as possible and take a balanced view, reach my own conclusion. Problem is my own conclusion probably influenced by greed and my desire to make some money for retirement!
As a novice it isn't always easy to "do your own research" as knowing where to look is one thing, but then understanding what you have found is another. TBH most of it is Dutch to me but I do my best.
With CLON for example, I'd seen a fair few articles for some weeks before I invested that interested me, then saw the SP rising when their 10% buy into the Sasanof-1 prospect was announced. Then I checked that out as best I could and although risky was compelled by what I read; it seems about as good as it gets when it comes to O&G, and at least they were about to move the rig and begin drilling, good time frame, no waiting for years while everyone speculates if they will drill or not, or if contractors have been delayed by Covid lockdowns (MATD, Kefi and HE1 to name but 3)!
Checking out the posts here all part of my 'research'.
Seems my one big error was not fully understanding or factoring in the 1.4billion placement. Novice error.
So now will have to hold and hope they make discovery, at least enough to get the SP back above what it owes me so I can try to de-risk on the way up, with any luck.
