A necessary evil?26 May 2022 10:24
@ hopingforbags, and some other posters here.....
I'm relatively new to investing but learning fast. I'm even newer to the CLON BB and reading all your posts with great interest.
Hopingforbags - it seems to me you have a deep wealth of knowledge and experience when it comes to markets, trading and so on, and TBH quite a bit of your posts I don't understand (always having to google or check elsewhere to try and understand/learn a bit more!) but I find your posts about 'wonga lenders' intriguing; aren't they just a necessary evil in this game? Ultimately they are businesses whose sole aim, like most, and us PI's, is to make as much money as possible, so if they have massive funds available and massive placements big enough to control or skew the markets in their favour, why wouldn't they? And if some, like you say, off-load a chunk of their placings early then hold for potentially bigger rewards later, aren't they simply de-risking their investment the same as you or I would? Or should have (personally) as my portfolio is now a bit of a mess :-(
We may not like what they do and there seems little we can do about them, guessing we just have to accept they are part of the crazy world of investing and live with it?
With any luck their supposed messing here will end soon and we can all benefit from success at Sasanof-1.
Good luck all.
