Thanks Risendshine, I'll definitely be sticking around here for a while yet, no intention of cashing-in with an 87% loss.

It's all peaks & troughs, in the trough now but a peak will come again with any luck or good news, will just have to be patient. After all, what have I got to lose? £700? Already 'lost' £4,700, another £700 doesn't really matter now.

I just re-read that RNS about the Placing and Warrant shares, takes a bit of understanding.

So the SP has be 2.4p for 5 consecutive days to trigger the warrant shares? And has a 2 year time limit? But that in turn would potentially flood the market with millions more shares? Hmm.....

Hi No1, I think Dai meant lose it slowly if left in the bank, eroded by inflation, or lose it quickly if invested in a duff share.

@chasf - An SP rally on the back of the signing suits me if only to de-risk my investment and cover losses made elsewhere; I have invested more than I ever should have and really need to address the horrible situation I put myself in, all my own fault but not helped by Russia invading Ukraine, terrible timing. I don't mean to sound selfish, just need to safeguard my finances moving towards retirement.

Fingers crossed for good news - and an SP rally - soon.

Yes, it has remained incredibly stable, especially when compared to many other stocks out there, which is why I'm so bloody annoyed :-)
If only I'd left my money here instead of being greedy and thinking I was clever, put it elsewhere and watched those SP's tank.
Hindsight eh? Don't you just hate it? It must be every investor's most hated thing.

Any positive glimmer of hope here would be nice!
When the duster was announced a couple of weeks ago I predicted my investment would be worth £700 and today sadly proven true, over 87% down on paper.
A grim reminder of the "value of your investments can go down as well as up" message and a lesson learned, absolutely nothing guaranteed in these high risk ventures.
I will definitely hold & wait now, but also won't be putting any more in here even if I had anything left to put in.

I'm definitely not an expert on financials but thought the CTH Interims looked pretty good. Sure they increased their debt but on the back of further acquisitions and their EPS rose slightly which i believe is a good sign, although looks like the markets thought otherwise judging by the drop in SP; today's interest rate hike could be to blame for that though, especially with increased debt.
The offers of 750p from DBay and Sheikh would surely have factored in the likely interims though as these things don't happen overnight. Now just up to CTH to decide what to do.

Watching with interest and nothing left to invest.

Maybe the 'market' also pricing in today's hike in interest rates and the general down-trend in SP's and the wider economies?
Also, no guarantee that getting the TK umbrella agreement signed will raise the SP; I agree it should but no guarantee it will. The last 2 RNS's I thought were pretty positive and yet made no difference, the markets clearly not impressed by these updates.
A good example of this was the recent Clontarf Energy/Western Gas drill - excellently well-managed by WG, all on-time and on-budget, and yet announced rig deployment - CLON SP went DOWN, announced drilling commenced - CLON SP went DOWN again. It just made no sense. Different circumstances I agree, but just goes to show, especially after all the posters on that BB had been saying 3 bagger on rig, 5 bagger on drilling, crazy figures for discovery. In the end it was a duster so a disaster for me, but a(nother) lesson well-learned.

I hope that won't happen here obviously, but just saying nothing certain in this market and crazy world.

Down to 13p selling today I see, general down-trend market forces at play by the look of it.
And if I was still invested here I'd still be in profit. Damn & blast.

All my own fault I'm sorry to say - novice investing errors; a significant amount (for me, anyway) invested in a relatively small number of companies, and most of those very high risk AIM listings - gas, oil, gold, helium exploration.
Potentially huge returns but not what anyone would call a diverse or stable portfolio. It used to be but I got so bored waiting for anything to happen with the likes of Lloyds, Standard Life and LDG. should have been more patient although 2 of those 3 are now down by a third anyway, only LDG has remained fairly constant.
I'm sure at least 1 will come good and amazing how quickly my situation could change, go up as quick as it went down.

Maybe, just maybe, David Horgan was waiting for the Sasanof-1 well completion update before he wanted to put out a statement? Makes some sense.
But I'd call the outcome positive even though no gas was discovered this time; they completed the drill exactly as planned - on time and on budget. Most other exploration companies (it seems) can't even manage a p*ss up in a brewery let alone an on-time on-budget drill. Heck, some can't even secure a drill or even a licence.
So if nothing else it proved that Western Gas, primarily, are a decent outfit and can get the job done, and that Clontarf had the good sense to farm-in to that situation, although the reasons for that when WG had the drill fully-funded already are a little unclear. Maybe the opportunity was just too good to pass up?
But Clon still have that 10% stake and as I alluded to immediately after the grim news they (WG) do now at least have more physical data to dissect and as stated today they will go again at some point, in a different location, and maybe deeper.
Although as some of you have already pointed out that will require Clon to provide further funding and quite how they will do that I don't know. Let's just hope they can as the potential rewards are phenomenal for them and all of us.
In the meantime they still have their other projects that may prove fruitful so all is not lost here.

Probably just following everything else on today's economic news.

Still keeping an eye here out of interest though, and in may ways I wish I'd put everything I had into LDG because - remarkably - I'd still be in the black unlike my other investment choices which right now are completely bunkered :-( my total portfolio showing about a 33% paper loss as of just now, quite worrying and a bit depressing.

Ah, Sirius Minerals. My first big mistake.

At least if Clontarf goes that way we might get something back, if it goes pop we get nothing. I wouldn't want to be left holding a million shares in a company that no longer exists, pretty sure that would be a bad thing.

Hmm... as I already alluded to, and found out to my substantial cost, there is absolutely nothing "inevitable" in this game.
All we can do is wait for the financing RNS to drop and hope the SP goes up accordingly, and hope that the MM's etc. don't f**k it all up and screw us all over as seems to be the case with AIM companies.
I'm pretty new to all this and hopefully learning fast, but boy am I getting cynical :-)

Nothing guaranteed on AIM; I am invested somewhere else where the SP went DOWN both times there was positive news, made no sense at all, probably too much manipulation by the big players, brokers and such, bl**dy nightmare.
I'm in relatively heavy here too so definitely keeping fingers crossed as have losses to recoup from the other shambles.

I was wondering about that too. I mean, they seemed pretty certain there were trillions of cubic feet of gas and millions of barrels of condensate, it can't have just disappeared so it must surely be down there. Somewhere.
Like I said before, maybe they just drilled in the wrong spot, data gained from the failed drill could provide them with what they need to identify the right spot and go again.
Or maybe they didn't drill deep enough - TD was supposed to be 2500m BMSL, in the end they only went 2390m, that's a whole 110m short. Maybe too many hurdles (sports joke).

ps. I've nothing left to invest so can't even average down, owes me just under 0.55 average here. Ouch.
Unless I sold something else but everything else I have is down so whatever I do wouldn't be any good.
The pandemic and the war ruined my portfolio, novice errors and trying to be clever have just compounded the problems, then this morning's news totally f**ked it.
Now I will hold & wait with all that I have, and anything that shows a profit is coming out, cashing in, hopefully recover the losses and try not to be so stupid again.
