The drop in sp must be due to the lack of progress in securing a free-trade deal with the EU. Without a deal, service industries which have substantial trading interests in the EU, like LGEN, will lack protection which a trade deal could provide. Also I cannot understand why our PM appears unconcerned at our leaving without a deal, as this will have a devastating impact on UK trade generally and could destroy the UK car industry.

Libero - any idea of when Q3 update will be announced? There is no mention of it in the Financial Diary.

Thrones. This came from an article in Saturday's DM on dividends which referred to LGEN's half-year statement. This promised a final dividend " in line with its progressive policies" which the DM interpreted as meaning an increase. See the half-year statement for further details.

Thrones - I think "increased" means more than previously.

Congratulations, Mav 7, on getting 238p for your shares, and I appreciate that after they go ex-div, you can buy back in at a lower price. But why is it necessary to sacrifice the dividend of almost 5p per share? The shares are likely to go lower after tomorrow - why not take the divi and use the money to buy in when the price goes down?

Russian - good question, why indeed would they want to raise a measly $5m when they have $55m in the bank? Perhaps this is a " just in case" resolution

Correction - figures were announced on 9 April by Regal Petroleum before change of name.
Also, cash and equivalents as at 31/12/2019 was $62.5m not $67.5m

No wonder the share price has dropped - the financials in the Annual Report tell us:
Operating profit for the year - down from $66.4m to $21.1m
Net profit for the year - down from $54.3m to $12.2m!!
Cash and cash equivalents as at 31/12/2019 - $67.5m
Cash and cash equivalents as at 7/4/20 - $55.2m

Why were these figures not announced before the AGM?

Also, the Agenda for today's AGM contains a Special Resolution to give Directors authority to subscribe for shares up to the value of £5,343,963. Does this mean that a dilution is on the way?

Sam - yes you are crazy! - the results on the web page are for last year 2019. We are now awaiting interim results for this year. Last year they were announced on 11 September 2019,

Now that Brent Crude is down to the mid thirties, a future SP of 50p for ARG must be a lost dream.

Bought 3 days ago @268 - now down over 10%. On the bright side the shares are now offering annual return of 7.5% and could get better.

Yesterday the list of trades shows two buys of one share costing 4p each. This, o course, exludes dealin costs.There were also buys of 4 and six shares. Who buys such tiny amounts and why do they do it?

Jonah - there are no shorts currently recorded on this board. This could show, as you indicate, that the Lord is in fact, a de-ramper. Nevertheless, the list of trades shows many sells 0f between 10000 and 50000 shares - does this indicate a loss of confidence by PIs or just trading?
