Just to add to my last post they also said that there would be a 1 for 1 share in the new Ltd company for uk shares

Ezio.Auditor Do you think that the delist means that we get the ASX listed shares?
My interpretation is that they are delisting from the main LSE listing to aid consolidation into BHP LTD, and that a secondary listing will still be maintained in UK.
This should mean that the shares are still tradeable in the UK but for accounting purposes there is only one firm based in Aus.and they will not be paying all the costs incurred with a dual listing .

ScotsloveTrump By what i have read in the RNS dated 2nd december, there will be no need to take any action as the shares will still have a standard listing.
The company will have its main listing in Australia but it appears that the share numbers will not change but will trade under the limited company structure .
I am not an expert in these company restructures but that is my take on it.

J-m Your post begs the question -- what have they been living on for the past years?
There is more to this than meets the eye but they could be having income from other directorships etc.

A small interest rate rise next year should not spook the markets if job creation is still stong .
Poly shares do look undervalued and perhaps it will take a trading update or a hike in dividends to fire it up.

On a different tack when interest rates rise in the USA, the dollar strengthens which is usually bad for gold in the short term.
Do you concur that inflation on its own is not a guarantee of a gold price rise ?

The gold price is not exactly making massive gains but a steady rise is ok .On days like today any share rise is gratefully received !
Because poly mines, it has the added appeal of production and discovery uplifts which i think is a massive positive .

Christmas could come early for genuine investors in this company.

Leaving the geopolitics aside where is the gold price heading? .at the moment it seems directionless with the added impact of a new covid variant and inflation worries

Myquest If the prospective buyer was negative i dont think they would have issued the RNS.
my reasoning is that most companies hate having to put out a negative RNS for obvious reasons and why raise false hopes if at some time in the near future they would need to backtrack.Dont be concerned and think positive !
When all is said and done would you invest in this firm if there was no offer on the table ?
The latest research done by all on this board and in general suggests a big YES

After many months of examinations /investigations by interested buyers we had a due diligence notice on 28/10/21.
My view fwiw is that a 6 week period should be enough to table an offer . Before 10/12/21 would be my realistic date for the offer but with all the progress made this year a price north of 42p should be the going rate for this share , offer or not!

Lower price today could be a reaction to the Peru situation with Hoc taking a hammering .
In a perverse way mining restrictions in Peru could positively affect Poly going forward

If the deal is very close then it is logical to remove the firm from any conference situation .
Why would they need to expand on any details which prospective bidders already know having done their due diligence ?

Fwiw my take on mondays presentatation, if no RNs today, is an opening statement regarding non disclosure followed by an in depth revelation of the operations currently on going and the future potential .
I do not see them divulging anything that contravenes any financial regulations at this late stage in the proceedings but they can still showcase themselves to any further potential bidders.

If charts could accurately predict the future we would all be multi millionaires !

Perhaps the presentation on monday will not be a confirmation of a sale but an opportunity to show other interested parties what they could bid for.
Whatever the short term brings this share should be well north of 40p

Ask yourself the question ---Would you buy theses shares based on the last years progress made and at the current price regardless of the sale potential.
My conclusion is a resounding Yes .The sale would be a massive bonus on top .
As regards wishy washy RNS,s they are more like bishy boshy!
