NewK, very true, & at some stage the rot has to stop. This is a fundamentally sound business, the other 3 mentioned could well go to the wall due to Covid. BP is going nowhere but up. Personally i've waited through all the falls right down from 330 & got in @200. I don't think there's much further to go. Maybe a bit because of the new lockdown but that will be a temporary blip. This is an opportunity to get a bargain simple as!

yea took at look at it's price moves on friday seems a keen interest after initial big dip! will take a look at fundamentals tomorrow!

US election too. Be some big winners & big losers this week for sure!

yea agreed won't be a freefall but i think falls across the board. Nex should stay above 120 i think but who knows in this climate?

yep, noggers i was in 2 minds to be honest but BP is an old favourite of mine which has become so cheap & with the results there starting to turn around & the dividend confirmed for the foreseeable i had to get back in there. Have to say i may pull the rest from here on another BP dip as i just happy to load up there with such a good income & a massive upside too. NEX is great potential but very little happening & can't miss all the other good stuff out there. It'll probably boom up here if i sell out entirely but that's always the way it plays. Wish i'd bailed same time as you & would have had nice earner here. ne'er mind!

agreed on the lockdown. just do it & get it out of the way. this current BS is bizarre!

ianb i sold half mine at 154 other day & pumped into BP @191. didn't want to miss that!

sad to say but despite all the great fundamentals this share is really failing to cut the mustard!

i've no dispute with 13 consecutive poor months Tacet. This month will be the turnaround i believe due to positive results & dividend confirmed for the foreseeable & US elections which i think will boost oil stocks. It may go the other way of course, none of us has a crystal ball. we'll see!

could be in the 200s a bit sooner than i thought. Not far to go now!

i'm happy to listen to all views & this seems quite a rational & civilised board. Personally i've been in & out of this share a few times but got out in June & back now at entry point of 200. I'm pleasde with that entry level however I would've waited if i thought this had serious shorting still going on but that seems illogical to me at the moment. Tacet seems to focus on the charts stuff which is all well & good & i use them myself a bit too but i never treat them as Gospel just a useful aid really to see trends & stuff. Next few days will be interesting with this one!

Tacet, on what basis do you believe BP is being shorted at the moment? i ask the Q as i believe there is lots of manipulation going on in some of these stocks. I see BP now however, post results as a huge risk as a short bet. Do you believe RDS is being shorted too?

Haha, yes it will be closer than people expect. We talked market manipulation the other day. Trump is an expert on election result manipulation LOL
