So the government not doing anything again. Even if they had, do people seriously think that reducing quarantines etc will really make much difference? Travellers need to have certainties that they can return back from places & go back to work/kids back to school etc.. Only a vaccine will get this share out of the woods IMO.

i was curious why this held up today but now realise that PIs weren't able to trade their shares. More manipulation which has plagued this share at the expense of the small guy. MMs will have made sure they disposed of all in the high 90s that's for sure! This will drop tomorrow as it should have today if the proper calender of events was followed!

the after hours traded you see on here have no impact on opening price tomorrow. The big one's an uncrossing trade & others delayed updates from earlier in the day!

usual impatience which i've seen here from the 115s, 125s, 135s, 145s & now 155s! tuppence, thrupence dip, all panic Bet the same moaners were in an orgasmic frenzy @159.90 this morning. Same message. Patience will prevail. F17 evangelical message of experience needed i think!

Noggers, every experience is a learning curve. You know now it might be better to think twice when you hover over the sell button at £2 with this share!

I think the point being made is that until airlines are actually filling planes up & people are keen to fly & are allowed to fly again the SPs of this & other airline stocks will remain low. In a nutshell this share's only value is the expectation/anticipation that things will return to normality soon. Time is of the essence here. As Teddy will recall, back in June on this bb we were all predicting that by now there would be a vaccine. Realistically there has actually been very little in terms of concrete evidence of a workable vaccine anytime soon! With almost every country subject to quarantines IAG at the moment is just haemorraging cash i'm afraid!

Watch what happens with the RR RI. It will be exactly the same as here. SP pumped up pre RI. Once rights all taken up. Shares dumped, SP falls. Unhappy PIs. Just watch the circus as it unfolds as it did here!

By January NEX SP will be higher than BP's!

The most logical option for a prudent investor to do is wait until Wednesday/Thursday when the true price will be there for everyone to see! Not deramping/ramping or scaring. That is a good logical point for an informed investment!

& people shouldn't read those after trades. If 100million shares were physically bought in 2 x 50 million transactions. Ask yourself. Who did they buy them off??

People get criticised on this board for price predictions. Usually negative price predictions. But really for someone to expect this share to gap up on a Monday morning by 10%, with only negatives in the news after the price has tanked by 40% in 2 weeks is pure fantasy world! The true SP here, all other things being equal will become apparent by close on Wednesday when all shares are issued & available to buy & sell.

Looney must be under extreme pressure now. I think they should allow him more time before getting shot. RDSB has fallen in a similar manner to BP. Lot of negatives around the oil industry at moment. Covid, Geopolitical instability, US elections. Be a while before those shares go back upwards i think. Probably into next year. But yes, oil is not over by a long way & those big majors have huge resources to tap into alternative energy ventures!

& Teddy, i'm not going to try & call the bottom with BP. i want 2-3 clear green days, then i'll buy. Once it goes north, there's lots of headroom so don't mind paying few pence more than the bottom feeders!

Sorry Noggers, i have to disagree. I believe this share fell purely on market sentiment/lack of CEO. The fundamental business model is absolutely excellent & it appears to me to be extremely well managed across the board & as such this share has potential in years to come to be way over the £5 levels with acquisitions etc that will come about. In contrast RR the more i look at it is a complete lame duck. It has clearly been poorly managed over the years. The RI now strikes me as an act of desparation & i won't touch it with a barge pole. I think it's just surfing on the RR name pure & simple. The business is in a diabolical state. I sincerely hope it recovers but it will take a big overhaul & a long time with or without a covid vaccine. Teddy agree on BP. I just have to be in there at the £2 level. Seems like bargain of the century. Not sure how i'll play that one yet as don't want to bail outta here anytime soon. I love this share. Very confident in it's future!

Hey Noggers, imagine if you'd invested what you have here in Rolls Royce? Everyone thought that would go back up & look what happened. Some peeps been wiped away there! Agree on the dividend front though. This share at the low prices represents a very good income (10%+ yield) if & when divis return. I'll be looking to put a bit in BP for that reason too

Holla, very wise words there about investing in shares you understand. My bad investments have invariably been because i've not taken this approach. If you do your background research & understand the fundamentals of a business & get in at a decent price you really can't go wrong if you're can hold your patience. The dips will happen & sentiments will fluctuate intraday. None of us can influence that, but if the business is well run operationally & financially prudent it will always come good & the markets will reflect that. While it sometimes is frustrating when you think you've missed out on a quick buck. Sometimes better to sit back safe in the knowledge that you are in on shares that you're personally confident will succeed. Shares that you don't understand will just cause sleepless night if you commit large investments in them. Anyway enough of my prattle. Good week guys & wonderful finish (i thought would dip Friday due to Trump stuff) & good to hear from our wise sage F17 again. I thought the influx of Cineworld speculators had overwhelmed him. 180 target for Friday next week . GL

Dean, let me be clear. it is not, has not & never will be my intention to scare anyone with my comments. Any comment i make is my opinion & my opinion only, as are yours and i respect that view. In regards the RNS re subscription. If you read between the lines it says '93% taken up' & excess shares oversubscribed. Yes oversubscribed by investors duped when the TERP was c.134 into believing there was a quick 50p profit. So, those investors subscribed & were then committed to that purchase while watching helplessly as the SP tanked to sub 90p. I sympathise with investors here who i feel have been led up the garden path with the whole RI debacle. Same thing is happening now with RR too. Same manipulative dubious practices. Why has IAG not released a RNS stating why none of the BOD subscribed in full to their discounted shares? that is a total disgrace & in itself should be enough to at least concern investors here. You will recall Dean that just prior to the ex rights being traded i said on here that the price would fall steeply from 130 levels down to 100 levels. You refuted what i said then, but it is trading further below what i said. I never price predict to 'scare' people but i personally am convinced that the SP will fall when the RI shares begin trading. That is my view & mine only & i may be wrong & as i'm not invested currently i wish all holders here best of luck. I'm in no great rush to invest in IAG, there are many other investments around.
