It may all be absurd but I've just taken half my holding out. Why? Because as I said before these announcements, like todays, are made when HK is shut. I'll top up again if it drops down to 25.5p Ask or lower. Anyway, still holding and confident things will turn around this year but this week I'm not confident.

Fraser, Personally, I think today's sp rise is just a correction to big falls and speculation, with no substance. Any comment? Is there any news on Kisi or Wamum? We've been waiting a long time for some news but expected soon on 2 of the projects - drilling at Manus Island Kisi with Newcrest and field results from Barrick at Wamum, both in Papua New Guinea. Need at least one of these to say something positive or this is going absolutely nowhere, except downwards, maybe to the canvas I'm afraid.

No expert on films, Kung Fu Panda might kick-start something - lol. Seriously, a great RNS about further entertainment contracts and the Indian exchange rate improving. Not sure on this last one but have heard India might be coming back this year. There used to be so regular RNS's from DQE but nothing now for ages. Think it really was the exchange rate losses in last interims that killed it last Nov.

Yeah, I too suspect this is going back into it's shell down to about 26p again. It was coming up so nicely the last week or two and now because the crop report wasn't anything other than 'as expected', it's drifting. I'd like to have some news on the new processing plant meant to have been trialling in Dec and coming on-line soon. Hopefully no mega director sells - that was the last killer. Seems to be a trader's dream really, up and down within it's range. One thing I think I've spotted - when we get bad or moderate news or even good news, it's worth reacting to it. Because the HK market seems in my mind often to be more important and yet they get the news too late for their trading day. They then react the day after and we follow them. Has happened a bit with this RNS but more markedly once or twice before. - that directors' selling news. Could have sold, think it was announced on a Friday pm here well after HK closed. Then on Monday the s*** hit the fan, first in HK, then here. Watch out for these types of happenings.

My average is the princely 34.5p which is ridiculous. I'm still here partly because I haven't got the hang of getting out when things go wrong and secondly because I can't see anything much that has gone wrong, except the sp. At last someone talking sense. That's exactly what I thought, this is nothing compared to what might be coming. This is not funding anything new; if people don't want to be involved in a massive funding for acquisitions they will need to be heading for the exit soon. Hopefully, flow-rates soon and big re-rating of the sp. That's what we need. If there is big funding before, we'll have to just sit it out and let things develop for a few more months at least, because they will be very unlikely to get funding at a premium to the sp.

Don't get your logic there. If they had the choice, which they didn't because the money was needed straightaway, surely they would make more money out of the deal buying shares at a lower price and taking warrants exercisable for two years at only 9p. Obviously a better deal for those privileged to participate than after great flow-rates and the sp goes up. They then would, applying the same approximate 10% discount(small compared to many issues) have to pick up the shares and execute the warrants at higher prices. Anyway, it's all hypothetical as the money was needed quickly and the flow-rates, apparently, are not ready yet. But as some people have said, no doom and gloom here, good news coming hopefully. On another front, I was under the impression much larger sums were being contemplated to allow expansion. Surely this issue is still pending.

changed hands today on TPJ, 448.28k worth of shares. The spread varies from 10% to 30%. IMO this seems to mean the mm's don't want the shares but they are scared as to what could happen. There's only 54% in Free Float according to the FT, Newmont have about 14%, haven't checked who have the others. Anyway, crazy movement today on no volume and no news. Someone puts in a few grand, this will probably go up 10% instantly.

Down another 12% on just a few trades. Emailed Fraser about yesterday's bogus RNS warning yesterday and he said it was just a technical glitch and re-confirmed Newmont were not issuing any statements re their budget for 2013 exploration further than they had already, i.e. withdrawing funding for 2013. We are expecting results any day for Kisi from Newcrest. Besides that Barrick are meant to be releasing field work results very soon as well. Newmont are a big shareholder in TPJ so whether they will one day takeover the company for, probably, peanuts, I don't know, or perhaps resume exploration at a later date - they did say they would support TPJ and work on other possibilities for Morobe prospect. Fraser has never given much credence to Gold Anomaly and Crater Island and the Vietnam asset has been divested for £5. So, not pretty reading. There are these 2 projects meant to be releasing results v.soon and if they also disappoint like everything else has in the past year .... God only knows. If there is good news, this has got to be massively cheap. It moves big when it moves and has been a trader's friend previously but has hit rock bottom of late. Fraser's leaving end of Feb and the Bod is going virtually into 'care and maintenance' to prolong their existence (or prolong the agony perhaps). Can't say I feel very positive, though there are these two projects overdue on updating us. Fraser has been excellent responding to emails and phone calls - has always done so immediately.
