The problem with that is the Market Correction it’s likely to trigger. Some of the ingredients are already building plus it appears Money is currently being taken out of the Market. Many II’s would welcome finishing the year on a good level ( bonuses etc ) and start the New Year from another low….if invested here just be careful what you wish for !

Ha, just be careful, considered coordinated Market Manipulation is illegal ! Best put pressure on the BoD to update Shareholders as currently it seems they’re not interested in you !

“ The scum are in charge atm” ?…charming ! I just like to think they keep Management on their toes, and provide a useful indicator of trouble head as they actually do some research . The problem is most don’t understand how sophisticated their hedging programmes can be ,as not available to the average investor, who generally sits long and wonders why they haven’t seen a SP uplift once a Short has quietly disappeared.

It’s ok having your Mfg done in the UK but where is the bulk of your raw material ( eg. cloth & fastenings) coming from ?

Note ASOS Revenue & Margin forecasts have already been trimmed back so they don’t have quite the hurdle to jump ! Problem for BH is they currently don’t seem to have the media on their side, so any blip in trading will likely be jumped on !

One wonders if the Kamani Family are still that motivated here. They must be struggling to find ways of spending all their wealth already, well apart from Umar !

@nuri. Good call, as whilst don’t feel top line revenue will be the real issue here given their expanding Brand Portfolio, the focus will be on how that is currently feeding into bottom line margins. Revenue counts for nowt if you ain’t making money ! GL

Why the BoD have remained silent to date, knowing Shareholders must be concerned about the current SP which is being left to the mercy of speculative Traders, is rather concerning. Not all investors wish to be here for several years, indeed I expect a reasonable percentage of the Retail trade are young / working age, drawn in by Name awareness and just wish to make a few quid for holidays & treat their kids etc. but having trusted their money in the Company, now only see losses. The BoD really should provide some direction here as silence isn’t working !

Well we’re said it before but the Company could put a stop to all this speculation immediately if they wished with a brief Statement noting the recent SP decline but advising that trading remains within Management / Consensus guidelines and a full TU will follow in the New Year.
That would give those Short a few problems( well not those who have already purchased / hedged Stock for a LTH and merely Trading with those borrowed ! ) . The mere fact they keep quiet is puzzling !

Also, before disappearing out for the day, check out that much smaller operation “I Saw it First Ltd” (Director Jalal Kamani ). At least they hint, within there latest Full year Accounts, of pricing pressures and reduced spending power within their target market, following the withdrawal of Government Covid support schemes, so looks like they’re warming up Preference Shareholders for another post tax loss again in 2021 ! All this against some fairly ambitious growth targets BH are pencilled in for ! Enjoy your day.

Best not to try and bet against Sentiment ! Interestingly according to the latest UK / ONS figures, at a macro level the Total Internet Sales as a percentage of Total Retail Sales was 19.3% in Oct 2019; 29% in Oct 2020, and 26.3% in Oct 2021. You’ll need to DYOR if you want to drill down further, but overall ‘online sales’ don’t seem to be having it all their own way, as some would have you believe. Obviously ‘Lockdowns’ muddy the picture, but I recall Englands 2020 Lockdown started in Nov., so does all this increase in web site traffic actually transfer into Sales or is much of it just lazy screen gazing whilst being stuck at home . There are answers out there if you do some research which clearly others are doing !

Well with Omicron now skipping across the world unabated it’s just a question of its severity and impact on vaccine efficacy. As yet few, if any, deaths seem linked to it but should this change together with low vaccine efficacy, I’d expect the Market to react accordingly. In the meantime we could certainly do without all these Government scientists jumping the gun.

For II’s going’Short’ and having an exit strategy will be planned as one and generally structured so as not to upset the Market. The level of Floating Stock available in BH shows a short squeeze very unlikely, unlike when Porsche pounced on the highly shorted VW to reveal only 6% of Stock was subsequently available, hence panic. Your best chance for anything remotely similar here would be a surprise bidder, but again accumulating stock attracts interest ! Best rely on the Company performing to plan !

That headline seems a little misleading. This is a Sector wide correction, not specific to BH, but agree Corporate Governance issues haven’t helped either. A close examination of the PLT balance acquisition / prior Capital Raise and timelines are all quite fascinating (and a ‘field day’ to any conspiracy theorist ) which may still be playing on others minds, not least seeing their Capital being passed across to certain individuals. Will be surprised if no Director purchases are made once outside the closed period but whether that changes things, is another matter. What you don’t need is a Capital Markets Day !
