They don’t back down, it’s not in their nature, as they thrive on the perceived weakness & terror in others. Thus as much as we crave peace for Ukraine, I won’t celebrate until I see Putin’s death certificate.

We all share your frustration here but were the UK / USA to take the fight to Putin, say via a No Fly Zone, then the casualty count would be unthinkable. The only consolation currently is that most including Russians , see Putin for what he is and thus his removal will be on the cards, as let’s face it he’s 69 already and most know normality won’t be restored until then. Ps. In times of crisis you need rational thinking including looking at your Portfolio !

Until Putin is removed, any foreign Company having Contracts with the Russian State won’t enjoy quite the same Investor support, as previous.
Being associated with a Pariah State that breaks International Law and murders innocent people, doesn’t quite fit the ESG criteria. Just depends upon what side of the moral fence you stand !

Mac. I echo your last para. although the latest signs tonight aren’t good with military force now being ratcheted up, to enable Putin to achieve his aim. That will result in Russia being isolated from the West, with even more sanctions being thrown around. Collectively that’s not a good outcome for anyone , but against many Ukraines losing everything, a loss here should be the least of your concerns !

As reportedly 2nd wealthiest Russian and mates with Putin, he’s never one to waste a crisis, or worry about Contracts ! Dangerous times.
