Just tried a 5000 share buy on Barclays, no problem ( but didn’t need 10 secs to decide ! )

If Putin had sense, as we know he hasn’t any, he’d be ordering his Fleet back to a home Port, as the level of anti ship missiles now heading to Ukraine will soon be easier than shooting fish in a barrel. For sure none will be wasted…he’ll soon be needing cardboard cut outs for his ‘victory’ parade !

Re.POG…..can’t believe some there are saying ‘Load up now’ haven’t they seen what’s around the corner. Throwing money away currently seems fashionable !

Could this be the catalyst that sees the regional conflict spill over into full confrontation .May seem best to go Risk Off into the BH rather than find the skies are glowing red on Tues , not that money will be any longer relevant then !

Interesting what’s in the latest $800m US Military package to be sent ( probably already there )to Ukraine. Clearly Biden isn’t now restricting hardware to that intent on preventing attack ….it’s an awesome package including Howitzers and Switchblade drones. Seems someone is intent on using another’s Pawns to directly now attack the King ! Unless very careful this conflict will soon spill over.

See the conspiracy theorists are out again . You should be aware that all trades on the LSE are monitored and any irregularity investigated. Witness all Trades in Poly being cancelled earlier this month between 0841 & 0902 on the 7th March due to an usual spike in the SP. No MM will risk being Party to manipulation which is not only very difficult to cover up but of course illegal. Technical trade glitches can happen but get cancelled on discovery.

Feel you’ll need to await updated detail to be provided at the Investor Day, to determine likelihood of the postponed Div, actually being paid or cancelled. The positives are the large Shareholders who will be suffering from the SP collapse and will be unlikely to merely waive its goodbye. On the downside is escalating cost inflation, which has already seen Debt expanding by $70m in March alone. With the Div cost being $246m that gets swallowed in a Qtr. so the prudence of paying a Div. anytime soon could be questioned. Hopefully those Analysts tuning in will interrogate Vitaly a little more thoroughly, than usual. Not the time to do a Matt Moulding !

well the Retail Brigade we’re certainly out in force this morning. A quick look at LSE data showed over 4900 trades up to lunchtime, with an average under 5000 units & that included the largest trade of 150,000 which from the price was likely a sell. Seems most II’s were happy to sit the volatility out . Low AT volume.

Before todays announcement, Evgeny Monakhov ( Polymetal’s head of investor relations ) had already confirmed the money earmarked for the dividend was already in the miner’s EU bank account so the company didn’t anticipate any problems distributing the cash to its non-Russian investors. Problem being Euroclear ( who handle the distribution) can’t make payment into accounts at sanctioned Russian banks. Likely the cash will now be transferred back into Treasury. Simples.

You’re not facing Insolvency, plenty of other options available to deal with a Debt crisis were it to arise ( and not saying it will ) but you just don’t want a Debt for Equity swap as that would wipe out much of existing Shareholder valve !

Ha, expect for Jupiter, the Easter Trading break can’t come soon enough !

No surprise and will largely have been expected. What won’t help is the commentary provided such as “ Mounting uncertainty with availability of funds”
given over 25% of debt expires this year. A weakness there allows someone close to buy the debt and we know what then happens !

I’d be fairly confident in POLY’s ability to continue trading, after all it is a huge cash machine, but the question we puzzle over, is in what structure will that be. The longer this conflict continues the harder it is to see it maintaining its present form. Unfortunately Putin doesn’t seem in a rush to leave his bunker and shake hands !

“I don’t see much risk here” …really. Well for starters there is still the risk of the FCA suspending its Listing. Many feel it was unjustified for Evraz ( another UK Registered Co ) to be penalised, based largely on a main Russian shareholder (and a rather tenuous link of steel supplies for Tanks) . Well POLY has quite a few Russian Shareholders, and as the alleged Crime Sheet against Russia grows so will the clamour to see the UK distance itself from all Russian linked interests . Yes it could well seem unjust again, but a precedent has been set so don’t think the Gov. wouldn’t act, plus Boris could do with a few more crowd pleasing announcements right now !!

Ramp, Unfortunately this conflict has a very direct bearing on POLY’s future so naturally folk wish to discuss the various outcomes, but feel free to discuss other SP drivers, of which there are many, including quite a few negatives !
