Didn’t take long for BP to admit that it’s initial Emissions target was way to optimistic because it says it needs to keep investing in oil and gas to meet current demands. Well who would have thought that. I’m not a Shareholder as would otherwise question who’s modelling their Global Demand Cycle, not Ed Milliband is it !

Well it’s a huge Cat and it certainly ain’t dead. Overall a good day with the Markets down and those not adverse to risk driving the price higher, what’s not to like when volatility is in town !

Wouldn’t be too concerned as plenty to be positive about on the Demand side ( including latest US Jobs data ) its the Supply side, which OPEC still seem to be struggling with, that’s more of an issue. Overall it’s still in a good place.

EM knows he riding on a popular vote bandwagon able to spew out misleading or plainly wrong info. knowing that few in the media have the depth of knowledge to challenge him. Yes you won’t find him sharing a platform with, say AB, only those that share his own shallow populist ideology. Whilst the lack of open challenge from the Industry is disappointing most probably realise it’s fairly pointless knocking chunks out of politicians who then have scores to settle, better to quietly get on with the day job, knowing you’re operating within a profitable cycle.

Maybe the City has more confidence in the ASOS Management, I certainly have being one reason I switched some time ago as all rather underwhelming here.

Would be interesting to know NCM’s view on progress thus far, although suspect their interim new CEO won’t be doing any ‘high fives’ .

Can only hope we’re not in that MHRA queue, at least if they call a strike day we won’t notice.

Would also add that Dame Walmsley ( GSK’s boss ) in talking about the deepening dispute between the industry and government over the operating environment for the sector eg. rise in NHS sales levy which is  undermining growth and the ambition to make the UK a science and technology superpower, said the Government needs to take correct decisions now otherwise continued investment in UK ( Life Sciences ) from GSK and other multinationals is at risk. My suspicions are that Avacta’s future lies outside the UK given few can now trust any form of fiscal responsibility to come from either the Tories or Labour !
 

Good to see GSK’s boss is also rattling a few Government cages today saying she is “also worried about the decline in the UK’s relative performance in clinical trials. She said that to speed up getting medicines to patients, the government’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency needed to be “properly resourced to address the backlog and provide the right kind of timely advice and approval for clinical trials”. Seems the UK is failing on multiple fronts currently.

wouldn’t get too concerned over the financial well being of others. That’s not a trait found amongst successful vultures who delight in seeing wounded prey, knowing it generally takes someone to become crippled for another to become fat. Most seriously involved here will already have a survival strategy, that’s the nature of this game. Keep the eyes wide open !

Have both on filter as soon as it became clear they should be posting on Platforms that happily pay for meaningless and repetitive childish comment, although accept that to do so, does require a degree of intelligence.

Times like these one’s grateful to live outside the UK, with a Non Tax Status, so a happy buyer , and anyway little point worrying about tax , make a profit first .!

Oh dear, not sure some here are going to survive waiting many months for valve to arrive given the daily outpourings of woe whenever the SP drops. Best not place all your faith in the SD delivering, given we already know quite a lot . The new year has much longer to go !

guess Traders will be nervous but there the ones who often lose in volatile times, with today being a good example of herd mentality and not fully understanding the investment they bought into.

They may simply be withholding all further detail until the SD, at which point you would expect an announcement that morning. Given the Markets fairly muted response so far they won’t be too concerned in thinking they’re withholding price sensitive information !

Absolutely, and all the brighter by that DOCOMO acquisition stated to deliver $10M of EBITDA in 2024. One of the few ‘Tech’ stocks I’ve hung onto, for good reason !

Until the Company is close to monetising it’s achievements you can’t expect the Market to base valuations on expectations with vague timelines attached, irrespective how some may feel it won’t survive very long independently or how valuable the final product offerings could be.
An easy way of becoming unstuck is in believing the Markets are wrong !
