Suspect the Market is now factoring in what Labour propose. As POO stabilises the EPL will likely just turn into an additional Fossil Fuel Levy, forgetting any floor price. AB now needs to address Shareholder concerns, before it’s too late.

Wasn’t expecting that but welcome news particularly as it signals input cost inflation must be under tight control. AW has certainly turned things around here.

Problem always for AS is that he’s never in full control of events when you’re constantly up against Regulatory hurdles that don’t worry about others timelines. Its just another hidden cost this sector has to unfortunately bear !

One negative in the week has been the rumour of the Chancellor using his Spring Budget to announce cuts to R&D tax breaks. Hopefully he’s enough common sense ( which I doubt ) to ring fence our vital Biotech sector, otherwise it’s just another reason to look abroad !

Sounds like Shell’s new CEO is about to do a U-Turn on a previous policy to cut fossil fuel production every year this decade with his latest comments reported in the ‘Times’ today “ ….Sawan says. “I am of a firm view that the world will need oil and gas for a long time to come. As such, cutting oil and gas production is not healthy.” Just suspect any new growth won’t be targeted from the NS !

“ ignore the SP” ….good luck with that request as most here seem obsessed by it. Just have to accept downward pressure it’s how the Market works, as it looks past the SD and now at those timelines without TP intervention. At least will shake out the nervous and those needing to pay the bills.

Guess we’ll have to rely on those who attended to see if we receive a sanitised version of the presentation, as must start to question why the delay unless the Comms Director took the day off !

The time for disappointment will be in Q2, if the SP remains static with no outward sign of impact from the SD !
