The reality is we are still some way ahead of the field in terms of a saliva based LFT. Was just reading an article on SalivaTec ( Portuguese ) who are developing a Saliva Test, stating that if all goes well it could be available mid next year !! You just can’t rush science.

Well I guess one now needs to await to see what the new CEO has up here sleeve here, but frankly she seems to have skipped through the General Ins. sector without much notice so far and leaving little behind, other than a whiff of Chanel No 5 in the air !

New cases rising because of increased testing but UK daily death rate falling and that will inspire confidence that the virus is probably weakening as it progresses thro the herd ! At some point the government will realise that more folk are now dying as a consequence of its unremitting focus on trying to manage its spread and hopefully a successful antigen test will allow a degree of normality to return fairly quickly.

Mass Airport screening won’t happen, it would be a logistical nightmare. Could be made part of an online checkin questionnaire with random checks at security with anyone displaying a higher temp. provide the Airport have adequate virus security for spent tests, but few would be willing to travel, often several hundred miles , to only find out one of their party is positive at the airport ! It still doesn’t lessen the need for a rapid antigen test.

Plus wouldn’t need much of a name change if we sold to Molex LLC ( part of Koch Industries ) !

Would be surprised if taking VLX private was his ambition. He did hold 26.5% of the Company back in 2009 although admittedly he wasn’t so hands on then, but he’s got plenty of other interests on his plate so I’d be inclined to believe he’ll try and grow the Company before seeking an eventual sale.

Looks like Nat R. our Exc. Chairman has reinvested his dividend with another Half Million of shares........not the sort of action you’d take if the Company was about to plateau !

The Company clearly has a very bright future although many investors will not be sharing that timeframe hence the SP volatility, which is all based around the short term LFT. Suspect many posters here are short term as you just couldn’t spend the next 5 years daily looking in on a message board could you !

It seems others are finally latching onto the potential this Company offers !

Much of the frustration is from those that have been holding for a several weeks ,if not months, not wanting to miss out on what they perceive will be a huge spike In SP, should the correct RNS land at 07.00. Thats not really an issue for Day Traders who know the right news will take several days to be fully reflected in the SP so will be happy to buy in shortly after any good news having protected capital and added a modest percentage gain thereafter. It’s a solid formula to follow .

Not really. Just shows how much research some individuals do before jumping on a Share, basically none as just await to see where the herd goes. Just need the gate to open and they’ll arrive by the train load, still no clue what’s happening but enjoying the journey !

I didn’t think 3M were that far advanced with their LFT unless they’ve made a breakthrough within the last few weeks but clearly the race is on.

It would be practically impossible to prevent illicit LFT being performed for mass screening, unless rapid DNA profiling was also available......only takes one known negative to spit for others ! . Fortunately the vast majority would wish to know their own status but for entering arena’s etc there is likely to remain concerns.

“Avacta will update the market on continued progress and on the performance of its antigen test when appropriate” as per the RNS. That’s pretty terse from AS and no further timelines given. Not surprised at today’s SP reaction having been shot in the foot by a partner.
