Doze, I don’t doubt AVCT aren’t ‘busting their guts’ to try and deliver their ground breaking LFT and are equally frustrated as most Investors, that others in the chain
aren’t equally as focused. All I’m saying is that delivery is not guaranteed here, AVCT have equally if not more important tasks ahead of them . We all wish them well but failure should be built into your investment decision. I hold a substantial position here but for me fortunately any temporary knock back would be of no consequence. Just hope others could take any downside equally calmly.GL.

Don’t let the dream of making fast money cloud your judgement . The best investments usually take years to mature and chasing rainbows often results in disaster. Avacta haven’t pinned their future on a LFT ....check where the bulk of the fund raise is going. AS is very astute he knows where the risks lie and where the long term valve creation is hidden. We may have a pleasant surprise soon but if not it shouldn’t be a problem unless you’re over committed.

They transferred from the Main Market to Aim in Jan ‘18 , so wouldn’t expect a U turn anytime soon . ( Been here since first buying at 22p ...so happy they just keep their heads down )

Personally can’t see voluntary mass testing achieving a great deal unless there is a very high take up rate to catch the active asymptomatic who will be the super spreaders. Generally folk will take a test if it allows them to do something they want to do eg . catch a plane / get admission to a concert, football match etc. They won’t volunteer if they feel ok, but knowing a positive test result could result in quarantine. All this points to the need of a rapid easy test primarily to be used as a gateway and there’s still only one in the running to deliver that !

Unfortunately for AS matters are very much out of his hands right now except he has made the point on numerous occasions that he won’t be rushed, only to get it wrong. Meanwhile the irony of China capitalising on the worlds pain isn’t lost !

So Boris announces these new quick tests will be mfrd in the UK ....interesting !

Agree it seems China has this under control as testing is only effective if the subsequent action is vigorous and that’s where the UK fails as quarantines & lockdowns ain’t watertight.....try nipping out under a Chinese lockdown it just doesn’t happen. At least it means the testing market is likely to remain buoyant for quite sometime !

If AS had been misquoted in the Sharebuyers Article he would have corrected that pretty quickly. As to whether their normal Contributors tend to elaborate or not I have no knowledge, as not a publication I would normally pay any attention to.

Quickest way to lose credibility is to try and predict SP movements, and In Avct’s case providing time lines / success ratios on Tech Transfers ! If anyone is trading on the back of anonymous BB speculation you really shouldn’t be investing.

No Director will give a second thought to the concerns of minor shareholders who likewise only hang around in an attempt to make a quick buck. We’ve been advised the reason why he sold and anyone who’s bought an expensive property will know a Vendor just won’t wait for his cash, he will usually set the deadline, so AS will have sold to meet that date. Provided he can’t be accused of insider trading he can do what he likes with his shares & if that upsets some, well tough just move on.

Certainly precluded from selling ahead of as yet, undisclosed bad news but not that which would be considered positive for the Company. Thus important news could still land at any time. Suspect thus sale was delayed as long as possible in an attempt to catch any uplift, but we know matters are currently not within their own hands.

Will be interesting to see if Institutional Investors being pressured to force replacement of Chair & CEO , do now act as clearly there are major concerns over Corporate Governance for major Auditors to decline involvement. Further weakness in SP may eventually be a good thing !

Yes Auditors move on frequently but that is usually at the behest of the Company, not the Auditor. At the last AGM 94% voted for PWC to audit the FY ‘21 results so it looks like PWC wish to drop the client and that’s the issue ie. what has prompted that call. Until clarity prevails this will bounce around, for its not as if this is the only concern investors have here.

No doubt the SFO will be keeping a watch on the NCA investigations but currently there is no indication that BOO are involved. Should that change then agree you would see a dramatic fall and some institutions will be positioning themselves accordingly. Odey’s recent short increase is an interesting play.

Guess it’s really a question of what the National Crime Agency uncover relating to their Suppliers over allegations of VAT fraud & money laundering and who may have had knowledge of these activities , if proven. Unfortunately for BOO this will hang over them for sometime yet irrespective of who may wish to audit their books. Currently not an investment risk but good volatility for day traders.

Unfortunately it’s the employees that are the losers here. TW has cause for criticism of the media & imposed trading controls so can’t blame him for sounding off, given the results.

Yes Townsville folks know quite a bit about water. Home to the Great Barrier Reef Aquarium...worlds largest living coral reef tank holding 2.5m litres of water, and that’s just one exhibit ! Well worth a visit.

It’s certainly difficult to currently put forward a strong investment case here given further lockdown restrictions to the hospitality sector now look almost certain coupled with an economic downturn that will lessen the frequency of dining / drinking out generally. Whilst TM likes to talk, he’ll likely need a very good story to go with his next set of financials. An interesting watch.
