Wyndrum...agree there is legitimate news flow which is necessary. Having worked in the Financial City many years ago ( not on a Trading Floor) it was the little groups formed by individuals with common working interests, were info flowed much was pretty innocent but you also knew who to contact !

So it’s reported ( Times ) that a young Spanish guy who acted as a go between in the supply of PPE to the NHS was paid £21m of taxpayers money for making a few phone calls....you do question what planet those in charge here actually live on.

not sure who these Messiah’s are that keep being referred to on Twitter etc. but unless they are also disclosing their Trading strategies you may discover that whilst they are making money, you’re not ! Best take on board any research they offer but also wonder why the enthusiasm !

The reality is that for every week that slips by we are losing Revenue, and that could be quite a lot. I have no doubt we’ll sell every Test we can physically make but it’s becoming clear that even if we hit TT in Nov, clinical S/S validation will likely take its Mass Market availability into Q1 ‘21.....& that’s disappointing for investors. I would like AVCT to prove me wrong !

Don’t know or follow the man but just glad he’s not controlling my Portfolio if he’s
managed to lose that much and is currently buying more . Guess he’s aware that if the FDA announce Emergency Approval before AVCT get their own news out he’ll likely lose even more , so must be happy to take that risk into account. GL to him.

If it’s the same as being used in Madrid it’s a nasal swab, takes 15mins & costs circa €5.....nothing to worry about.

The great thing about an anonymous BB is that no matter how loud or frequent posters issue opinions, ( as opposed to factual detail which is always appreciated ) we all carry equal weight, which if generous is just about a scratch above zero, and certainly on no basis for others to make investment decisions !!

DOH ...if your happy to base your investment on the back of a temporary Health Sec. rhetoric fine , but history shows pandemics hit the world fairly infrequently so major investments tend to be reactive. I can’t see that changing any time soon although I suspect next time we won’t be so short of PPE !

I prefer to be realistic and acknowledge we are probably at peak Testing right now, although a high level of testing will be required thro 2021. Thereafter I can see Government funding switching to Vaccine’s with Testing continuing but privately funded, but that’s not going to generate huge returns. Warren Buffet hasn’t just taken out one of his biggest bets on big Pharma for no reason...that’s where funds will likely be directed Q3/4 ‘21 onwards. For AVCT the clock is ticking.

Never wrong protecting capital . Whilst I retain a large holding I offloaded 50% when SP hit 165 as my Trading Portfolio was over balanced thus even last week it returned a modest increase ....invest by protecting capital is the golden rule !

...hope the UK doesn’t run out of money before our LFT appears given the Govt ( based on limited data ) has purchased 5m vaccine doses off Moderna. As Moderna were reportedly pitching the price per shot at £28 earlier this year ( remember the US Govt dropped them $2.5 billion to help development so that price alone is a bit cheeky ) your probably lucky if under the panic conditions today they’ve got it below £20, so that’s another £100m blown. These figures are clearly ‘chicken feed ‘ to those in power so provided funds don’t run out AVCT should be well placed to strike a good deal !

Indeed if I was AS I,’d be a little miffed with these Vaccine Tests....Moderna sample size 30,0000 but only 15,0000 given the vaccine and 95% effective data only refers to the first 95 to catch COVID...5 of which had the vaccine, hence 95% effective. Now ACVT are to do a TT sample of 10,000 to prove S/S ....all of which they have to do on a shoestring. Given Testing is a major part of the UK’s fight against the virus you would have hoped a little more Govt support would have been forthcoming. It doesn’t look a balanced playing field to me !

What is criminal is the way the UK government is happy to let the likes of Avacta depend on shareholders money, in trying to develop a highly accurate and rapid LFT whilst waiting in the wings until approved. Compare that to big Pharma and the likes of Johnson & Johnson getting a US govt bung of half billion dollars to experiment making a vaccine !

Ha, I’ve learnt to manage my expectations....could still smell & taste this am and Tories haven’t yet taxed Fresh Air , so today life’s good ....but I do worry about tomorrow !
