The next step in the development of the final product to run on the installed base of mass spectrometers in clinical laboratories around the world is to evaluate and optimise the BAMS assay using patient samples at laboratory sites in the UK and US which will be done imminently before moving to manufacturing, clinical validation to quantify the sensitivity and specificity and CE/FDA approval for professional use in the summer.

So it begs the question where are we in its development programme ?

It’s just unfortunate that this lack of clarity ensures the SP is underpinned more on Hope than any real financial matrix.

@pigster. CE Marking or any other non US National Accreditation will mean naff all to the Food & Drug Administration....you’re entering into a highly litigious Federal environment and merely crossing T’s & dotting ‘i’s’ ain’t could enough for the yanks !

@jdt. guess none of us can explain what’s happened with BAMS as even CONDOR can’t be that slow surely, given we’re in the midst of a global pandemic. In this respect I’m slightly disappointed in AS in not providing clear guidance, and if that shows weakness in one area so be it, we’re all grown up and as shareholders we do deserve some respect ( well most of us ) !

As is usual the Market is already ahead of itself with the recent SP strength, indicating it expects the sale to go thro. The question is whether AV. achieve the price expected. Seems deadline for bids is 15th Jan. so not long to go but any figure much below €3bn I would have thought isn’t likely to go down well. At least it should help AV achieve their Debt Ratio target earlier than 2022 which is the catalyst for any increased Divi payments, so it’s all rather down to what they can squeeze out of the sale !

Yes, there is a lot to like about ENQ currently especially when compared to many UK Companies saddled with similar debt but practically closed under Lockdown ! At least our Production hubs are operational ( as far as we know ! ) and somewhat isolated ....it pays to be different !

For me the only real niggle here are securitisation Bondholders who’ve only given waivers through to April 2021. Let’s hope MARS can get their ongoing support without pain ! Until I see clarity on that I’ll wait on the sideline.

Agree this does now look overstretched without significant news to warrant this somewhat dramatic rise of late, thus have relinquished my position here. May revisit if we see a pull back to a more realistic level, based upon what we currently know.

At least the UK seem to have given AVCT time on its hands since few I’ve spoken to within the last 48hrs aren’t taking your Lockdown seriously....all continuing to work in what I’d call none essential jobs after ferrying their kids to nursery. Whilst few would wish to live under China’s regime they at least demonstrated the quickest way to defeat this virus, a route others can’t follow so have to await for science to come to their aid....step forward AVCT.

@wyn. ‘Gambling’ is a very generic term but I suspect the average joe would relate it to placing your whole stake on a binary bet, as opposed to the result of your share purchase in say Vodafone, being up at the end of the week. Yes you could loosely call the latter a gamble but it doesn’t carry the risk associated with what we, or most of us, think as being a gamble !

No Nod....it’s just marketing being in step with usual forward planning, which we hope AVCT are doing behind the scenes !
