I did notice him on the BB of another share I'm invested in, he had nothing to comment on the company but was giving abuse to one of the posters on there for some reason.

A note of caution, there have been 123 instances of funds that have doubled or more in a previous year and 80% of them went on to lose money in the following 3 years, on average 17%.

Over the years I have ignored these offers / rights issues, you will probably be no better or worse off.
You own a minute part of the business anyway so dilution makes no difference.

If you find it depressing then maybe shares are not for you. I make a good living out of my investments but lose money on 40% of them, you have to accept that there is a chance they may fall in value.

I don't think Neil understands what drives a share price, it's what is likely to happen in the future, not what's happened in the past. Past profits have little influence on a share price.

RB, you mentioned GLOBE as a business that claimed tax back but you appeared to suggest that they were keeping the money for themselves ?
I did spend a couple of hours at the week-end on it, I think I've worked out how to complete form 86, which is a start.

The momentum was looking better a couple of months ago but is soon petered out.

Believe me, I don't take any account of the so called "research" on this BB.

Valuation is subjective, some may think it over-valued, some under-valued, it depends what metrics you use to value it.

You need to chill and not take yourself so seriously, these boards are mildly amusing but no serious investor takes any notice of them when making investment decisions, it would be worse than taking advice from a random stranger you met in a pub.

Ta, I've invested in MAB which is up 18%, although I'm not sure why !

There have been rumours of takeovers for years but nothing has happened, not sure why now is any different.
