I agree with all that, but when it comes to energy supply security, hopefully someone is planning ahead, with nuclear costs escalating and failing to meet planned output (new power station design still not working), commercial nuclear fusion still 30 to 50 years away, renewables still in their early stages, World instability, with current issues around the Gulf of Oman, etc., etc.,?

It is a very tricky one, but the consequences of failing energy supplies would be pretty terrifying.

Not wishing to be unduly bullish, when everyone's a bit subdued, but just about every participant in this thing (SL project) stands to gain by the granting of Export Credit funding.
The clouds I see are the sudden Climate Change activity, which might make decision makers a bit nervous and the PoO, which has got to stay reasonably strong.
If Macri loses and the Peronists get back in, that needn't be a negative, if FI defences have to be beefed-up and paid for.

I suppose as the day of the arbitration result approaches, people get more edgy, especially as everything else is looking less certain.

When SL sanction was "dead cert", people would have been less bothered about the outcome of this little detail.

We've been over this one time and again (here and on the ii board) and we've established that the claim would never have been taken-on on a NWNF basis if it hadn't been very strong. Those acting for RKH are very good and very experienced.
The Italians tried their hardest to get it stopped, but failed. An award is very probable and could be massive, but no one should count on that, as Fibonacci so rightly says.
So for those who want to re-run the discussion, I'd suggest reading what's already been said about this, relax and wait for the outcome.
None of the recent posts has added anything, except that the worried sceptics are just getting people wound-up at a time when we could do with a bit of respite.

Also carrot (are you really me, or my twin?), if we are going to spend time comparing/commenting on any outcome, I'd prefer to hear from an experienced lawyer, than just a bunch of fed-up investors worried about whether their bet is going to payout, or collapse.

Frankly, I'd say that this discussion is a bit of a waste of time, unless someone can produce a really good comparison as an example.
Predicting the outcome of litigation is a mug's game and certainly not something to rely on, if thinking of placing a bet on RKH (or selling-out, for that matter).

It would be highly irresponsible for anyone to predict the outcome of any claim, stating that the claim is "in the bag" and worth €100s Millions.

Anyone who has taken legal action knows they must wait for the judgement, so Sam's caution is just being sensible, unlike TD and his FID announcement last August.

However, having said that, the BoD would appear somewhat downbeat at the moment, so I wouldn't expect anything too positive, at least for a while.

They may have been frivolous, or at least rather weak/superficial and just made in the hope of getting something.

Nigoil, as often here you haven't been paying attention, because at least a month ago I posted that I wouldn't be able to attend, which is why I was suggesting preparing some questions from members of this BB who would be attending.

As far as UKEF is concerned, for a few months we've been saying here that export credit funding is the key to unlocking this one, so those who've suddenly and recently woken up, saying the penny's just dropped about its importance, can't have been paying attention.

I completely agree that Sam's unlikely to say much new, but I'd like to see him perform, his body language, etc.

It's not Malcy's style to put pressure on interviewees, but I just want to see/hear someone from RKH answer some questions.
After all, we only hear from TD, who holds the reins, but it could be interesting to hear from a First Class passenger?

That's why I'm saying that we need to lobby Malcy to interview someone from RKH - maybe Sam, although he avoids the limelight.

If RKH continues to be on his bucket list, we need to hear one of them speak and now might be a good time, if only to say: "the game's up chaps and I'm taking my winnings to Monte Carlo"!

In which case, we need to lobby Malcy and make sure SM shows us what he's made of.
I don't believe a company should be on Malcy's bucket list for several years and not tell us why they deserve to be there.

Considering RKH is still on Malcy’s bucket list, isn’t it time Malcy interviewed Sam? It would be nice to see him perform, rather than always TD. I suggest we lobby Malcy to give it a go.
