Merry Xmas BigOnes, good to hear your festive cheer, spreading the message of hope and good will to others. I agree that at this price, FOG seems to be the best bargain to be found in the post Christmas Sales. I'm hoping for a turn around when we hear that the regulations are in place and the drill is ready for action, that news should see a nice shift in the SP. Merry Christmas All.

Great research again! Earthling, I feel the significant news was the removal of the moratorium, now we're just waiting for the regulations to fall into place, which should lead to a May / June commencement if things run to schedule, and it is looking like they will do so. Ilvelo, agreed, it is hard watching the SP fall, especially after it held so steadily before the moratorium was lifted. I wish I'd held on to top up at today's prices, but patience will be fully rewarded. Roll on 2019, next year should see the upside, not long to wait now. GLA.

Great to hear more positive news again on the Beetaloo, thanks for the information. The future for the NT is looking very good. I like the reference to drilling companies are already preparing for drilling in the new year in the Beetaloo basin south of Katherine, although Im not sure what this refers to. I'm looking forward to the next update Governments implementation plan with most areas of the stage 2 having a planned completion date of December 2018, hopefully there will be an update early next year, the NT Implementation teams website: Website: https://hydraulicfracturing.nt.gov.au/

Thanks Newty, I thought that would be the likely timings. It appears that the NT are working hard to try and meet their deadlines and Origin will make commencement in 2019. Next year is going to be one to look forward to. With all things considered & what next year may bring, the current SP looks like a steal. Even Bigones is sounding more positive about buying at these prices. GLA.

It was mentioned last week that six months of baseline groundwater data is needed before well drilling.. "Origin and Santos plan to install monitoring bores in close proximity to proposed exploration sites to enable collection of baseline groundwater data, as required under recommendation 7.11 of the Final Report. Six months of groundwater data is a prerequisite for future activities at these sites." Is this prerequisite going to hold up the Spud date until June, or is the groundwater data all ready being monitored in the areas that Origin will be exploring in 2019, to thus making an April start a possibility?

Thanks guys, the 42 page implementation plan dated 30th September looks super impressive and it looks like a very tight ship is being run. Most areas of the stage 2 having a planned completion date of December 18 and is also good to see that some areas of the stage 3 implementation are also being worked on, and are well ahead of schedule. Thanks dprussky, things appear to be running smoothly, if things run to schedule with implementing the regulations, that's going to be a large step forward for us.

Wish that was me.. but price is looking like it will drop a little further, so I'll be saving my pennies until I hear more news about whether the timings around going to run on schedule.

Thanks for your post GreenLantern, although it is a little frustrating not knowing how this are progressing, but I'm sure that Gunner wants this to happen without any delays as much as we all do, and he seems to be leading the way admirably. If things do get going on schedule, that will certainly give things the kick we need, surely we will move onwards & upwards from then on.

Commencing work at the start of the dry season is very important, without a start this year, we are running too close to the wire. Gunner is pushing for things to happen and seems a great person to have in charge of the NT, but there isn't going to be a start without the regulations and infrastructure in place. At the moment we are just helpless passengers waiting for the ship to set sail.

Thanks for the recent posts, good to read some interesting and positive information to cheer us, as the SP suffers whilst we wait... and wait... It's hard to believe that there is a persistent drizzle of selling, and with months still to wait until the action starts. With no action and no news on the horizon, will this SP drift even lower?

CSIROs Gas Industry Social and Environmental Research Alliance (GISERA) is undertaking water monitoring and groundwater research of the Cambrian Limestone Aquifer System to establish baseline measurements and indicators to improve our knowledge. The CSIRO will collect data to assess groundwater quality and estimate groundwater recharge, flow rates and age. Data will be analysed to characterise the physical chemistry of the water, develop profiles of dissolved methane concentrations, establish baseline levels of water quality parameters and determine any exceedances of the relevant guidelines. Data is needed to quantify any potential impacts from gas exploration and to assist the NT Government in the development of water allocation plans. This comprehensive water sampling and monitoring regime is an important element of the ongoing commitment of the Northern Territory Government to build a comprehensive log of baseline data in the Beetaloo Sub-basin. Research information will be reported in detail and made available to the public. Commencing in October, water sampling will continue in November, with samples being collected from up to 25 bores located in the Beetaloo Sub-basin. The water quality assessment is due to be completed by February 2019

Prediction is in US$, so Uk SP would be £1.60 to £2.40 at current exchange rates, let's hope this estimate is on the low side!

Thanks WW for your comments and calculations, I agree that the $2 to 3B is also what I am hoping for, although if demand in gas surges and a premium is paid for ecological gas, then the price could go off the scale. We are in the right place at the right time. It will be interesting to see if Falcon will choose to prove up further acerage - the future is bright!

Falcons acerage in Beetaloo is 1.38 million acres, so looking at $5,500 per acre (for premium certified ecological gas) this comes to $5 billion plus, which equals $5 per share, optimistically, we are all going to become very happy one day soon!

Is it a possibility that parts of the basin could be sold off to fund further drilling to prove up more resources? If that is the case, how would this affect shareholders?
