Always thought MRW would end up in PE, but at very little premium. If any retailer wants a share, Aldi is the obvious candidate. Tesco market share is still nearly equal to Asda & SBRY combined, so bound to challenged by the Monopolies commission - a long drawn out arbitration would be exactly the sort of grief MRW brought on itself when it acquired Safeways, a huge distraction, plus the fanciful notion that Tesco would pay about double the market price to acquire a business with margins now slashed to the bone, of doubtful profitability. Ironic that posters on this BB who have been saying Tesco is broke, now think Tesco can find huge sums to buy this gem.
