Short Tracker today: TSCO up from 1.10% to 1.10%, SBRY down 0.19 to 11.60%, MRW seems unchanged at 12.27% - 4 major Hedge Funds have reduced, BUT the other 7 have increased. Still about 12 x bets that MRW & SBRY SP will fall, compared to TSCO. DESPITE today's sales figures...

You see the little box labelled 'No Opinion'? Most sensible people do NOT put 'Buy' when they are SELLING, or nearly as Wozz, 'Strong Buy' when in fact, they hold SBR & have NO intention of buying MRW.

In addition to saying BUY when you mean I'm SELLING MRW, you have trouble with basic logic - how do you close/Mothball, a store that has NOT OPENED, genius? Tesco has 1 of those, as I said.

You only hold SBRY, NOT MRW - correct? So one can take your opinion with a pinch of salt :)

I am 45% down on Tesco, & my ISA PF is 24% down. I have never sold Tesco at a Loss, and I don't encourage others to BUY when I am SELLING. All my dividends are re-invested, not necessarily in the same share.

As the week end newspapers observed, nothing to stop you filling up with cheap petrol & driving off to your choice of supermarket elsewhere. Of course this is where the big out of town Tesco Extra stores & SBRY equivalent will score, because they are NOT sited within hundreds of yards of rivals.

What one has to be REALLY careful of is Hedge Funds Shorting your Company - Millions were bet in a 1 punt a week or so ago, Shorting Anglo American - and it worked as a coup de Grace. Major Shorts are like a Canary in a Coalmine - the day Short interest in Tesco is HALF that of MRW, 12% or SBRY, 11% - is the day I start worrying, and stop Buying :) This year I bought Tesco about 155p & sold a tranche at 250p - ready to play this game again, by cannibalizing my PF just like last time. I bought more Tesco on Friday - Interested to see if holders of MRW will put THEIR Money where their Mouths are - how about it Bertie & co? All talk & no trousers??

AJ: Quite so - 'Should be about the Balance sheet', and Hedge funds SHOULD be Shorting Tesco at 12 x the amount they are Shorting MRW AND SBRY - how very 'Short' sighted of them, how DO they make money? LOL. - Probably nothing to do with the High Court action against MRW - the outcome is obvious, right guys?

As any victim of cold callers can attest, lists can circulate for ever - and this is prime data. It would be jolly nice of crooks & scammers to confine themselves to a year of activity, then cease - also unrealistic. In addition to the Breach, which in my judgment is cause for damages in itself, MRW should cover any Insurance bill for life. Why should employees pay for the faults/negligence of their Employer? All IMO.

From a guy who says he's too scared to do Longs & Shorts. He's smarting over a big loss here, so make allowances, guys :) He likes to re-visit BB where he screwed up & chew the cud - don't be a sore loser, Lummox!

You fail to distinguish between 'convicted of a criminal charge, doing a 8 yr stretch' & no criminal charges at all. Most observers think Tesco will be fined, at the most.

I see - a company has NO responsibilty for the actions of an employee? Why are MRW denieing the claims & defending themselves in the High Court then?

Un-garnished by good feelings in my water, quiet confidence in my ability to read the future, verbal attacks on persons not cheerleading, etc. If Short Tracker have been posting the same old tosh, ie. FACTS, for a year or more it might give some less emotional posters, pause for thought, other than Shoot the Messenger. Reuters extract on Tesco BB, ditto - for those with an Open Mind :)
