Man2061 As a novice investor you will learn (as you lose money) that most BODs don't give too figs for their investors and more often than not have their own agenda. CPX has lost money every year it has been in existence and despite predicted "years of transformation" they have not yet materialised. Now like many I believe this company has the potential to turn a profit but lets remember its a small fish in a big pond with less than 25 employees. It is of course up to you to make your own mind up but blaming few negative posters for any contrived dragging down of the SP is pure nonsense. Rampers constantly spout possibilities to justify their investments and blame negative /cautionary posters for any decline in the SP. But at the end of the day its your money and you must follow your gut feelings.

Man 2061 It doesn't matter how much possibly relevant research you do, its sales alone that count . Incidentally I have only posted twice in the last week once to ask TT what he had reported me about (again) but he did not reply, the second post simply extracted data from MATs website about predicted unit sales. How does that qualify as constant drivel?

Aren't the two inextricably linked? Meanwhile it appears the staff are taking up options at 5p and pocketing a profit . I received a lot of abuse for daring to mention that we shouldn't believe everything we are told as no BOD can be trusted to consider PIs investment with any level of priority. I feel vindicated as it is now truly squeaky bum time. All we need now is for an II to jump ship and we are all in trouble

The “EU” was created mainly by Italy and Germany who took a good long look at their history and suggested that Europe would be a much more stable place if we all worked together on the major aspects of our interaction with one another. After 50 years (of peace) two thirds of our trade is now with countries who are either in the EU or have trade agreements with it. About 40% of our food comes from the EU which will now be subject to a probable 30% tax. Also 10% of a tax income comes from the Financial Services trade who deal mainly with EU business. We don’t manufacture much now except arms. I realise others have views on the disadvantages of membership but as a nation which is being quickly overtaken economically by the likes of BRIC I cannot see the overall advantages of shooting ourselves in the foot. Still enough said about the EU all I was suggesting was that the uncertainty which presently exists will have an effect of the stock market generally

Graham. Welcome back. I assume you refer to the fact that I say it should never have been put to the first vote but I am in favour of a second vote ? My reasoning is quite simple i.e. during the first vote very few people had a real grip on the issues i.e. it was mainly immigration driven. However the last 2 years debacle of trying to untangle ourselves rom the EU has exposed many of the lies previously fed to us and a greater understanding of how any brave new world will affect us , so much so, that I feel confident that on a second vote we should have a much better informed electorate. I believe that if we face the prospect of a no deal then remain will be on the only real choice. How that is to be achieved is the question.

The referendum was such an important matter that it should never have been put to a public vote. This because as is evident now most people didn't have a clue what they were voting for let alone the issues involved. It is only now people are realising that despite all the disadvantages on balance we are far better off within the EU. If we don't leave people will be financially worse off and therefore have less to invest in shares so the prices will drop. As regards AMC James you have already proven that you are not to be trusted so I will be careful not to discuss anything with you. End of..

James I find it very strange that you choose to discuss any aspect of my portfolio which quite frankly is confidential and none of your damn business. Mining is notoriously fickle and until they start getting stuff out the ground AMC will stay this low. However, my investment was funded on previous AMC gains (bought at 17p and sold at 31p). So for now I will have to content myself, that despite my dyslexia, I do at least know how to spell the possessive their and can mind my own business. All investments now squeaky bum time. Best thing that can happen now is a people's vote on you know what which was give everything a lift.

There is no way the deal will be accepted. Makes you wonder whether failure has been on the Agenda all along ?

It strikes me that AKs optimistic predictions for increased revenue will judged against this years outturn. The elephant in the room for me now are the court case(s). If we lose any of them then surely this will involve a considerable financial hit. Only time will tell.

I remember when I retired and first met a "Financial Adviser". He advised me to invest my lump sum in Fidelity. I lost half of it. So just because you are an II (playing with other peoples money) doesn't mean they are any more likely to get it right than we are.

Patch it is disappointing that you say I am always knocking CPX. That is not true. What I hate is the over the top "this share is the best thing since sliced bread" (ramping) and try and get people to take a balanced view by analysing some of the claims. I have a large holding but had I not bought a huge slice at 3p every other purchase is showing a loss. Meanwhile in recent times the SP has halved. I know some will claim that is nothing to do with CPX but nevertheless the SP is real. You must make your own judgements who is right.

Gentlemen. You present an interesting case as to whether with anything in life one should present a positive take on things or a negative one. But having spent a life time at work looking at processes and saying how could I do this better I find it difficult not to look for faults. Now I must admit to many I was seen as always rocking the boat, and the answer was always to promote me “out of the way” (which was fine by me). However, at my retirement do my Director said to me “that improvements I introduced had paid for my lifetime’s salary ten times over”. That statement justified my style to me. In retirement I have been the same in that I have challenged a legal issue and ended up creating case law. Even now I am dealing with the Ombudsman about the Council’s legal right to close Highways. So yes, I am a controversial character admired and loathed in equal amounts. But that’s just me, you won’t change me. As regards shares, I don’t believe most of the guff we are told as Directors have a vested interest and I look reasons why I could lose my money. So yes, a miserable old git who has had a relatively successful life. We all have our own styles, mine is different to yours.

Clarejay. OK time to put up or shut up. You say several posters on this board are the same person and use this assumption to try an discredit our observations . Iwgrod. As I have said many times before this is a forum for LSE members to air their thoughts. I have written several times before to Mike Taylor but generally he does not respond. So my impression is that CPX don't have the time or inclination to reply to individual investors. So no I will not be writing to raise matters at the AGM as my observations are just that. Does that mean that I am unable to comment on this board ? Jesus what is the matter with you people. Just because we disagree doesn't mean I am the antichrist.

It really doesn't who holds what number of shares, the detractors will try any tactic to try and deflect the argument away from anything which criticises CPX. Well I am sorry life's not like. Nothing is perfect and nothing comes with guarantees. I will continue to raise issues which I believe need raising. Having said that there will be no-one more pleased than me when AK actually delivers an SP of 20p. As regards your evidence of holdings PC01 it means diddly squat because they don't want to believe it and will consider that you have somehow forged it.
