Looks like we are going to be part of the 3-5% then JH...so no it doesn't help
Does anybody have any idea of how long a patent trial might last and how quickly the judge might take to deliver their verdict? Also is there any appeal process ? Could yet be Christmas before we hear anything
So all we need is WW 3 to stop the inevitable march of CPX to profit . Hmm
As I understand it in plain English one or both parties have been unable to find a solution via ADR viz the alternative to a trial. This means it will go to the wire in October and will be winner takes all. That's fine if we win but what will be the effect if we lose? Come what may nothing concrete will be decided for the next 6 months . Meanwhile the side show will be how well we are doing on producing things to sell at a profit. My new car is due in Oct so lets hope CPX pays for it. I deserve it for hanging on to this share for so long
So its all hype and speculation. I suspect Maxwell will drag this out (is there any sort of appeal process) beyond Oct . At this rate I shall be 80 before I even know what the result is. No quick fix here . But recent surge gets me nearer break even
Nothing would give me greater joy JH, But please remember facts are by definition true, so the "facts" as stated are still nothing but speculation . So people can speculate all they want but when push comes to shove "turnover is vanity profit is sanity", After years of failed promises please allow me my cautionary approach to the latest speculation . As well as that there are still many external happenings which my yet affect us but yes the stars may be aligning !!
Only if we win and they pay up !!
Just proves what a nonsense the rumour is . Having come this far I cant see them acceding before the trial date
If there were any truth in this rumour well the SP would not be at 5p . To date there has not even been a wobble just minor ups and downs
yes. James Hinvestski has a certain ring about it ??
I have to say Private you got the Oct right but forgot to state the year .. 2035 ? ... sense of humour old boy
This wont move until Oct
Absolutely MikeCC . Marketing is quite simple . Its all about making products that people want to buy at an agreed price. The problem is that in the past CPX have made wonderful products but with no real customers to sell them to
Ducem , Cpx has failed to make a profit in any year since its founding. In the early days wonder products were talked up but seldom turned into real money. Also the issue of world class IP was high up the agenda . Observers will say that CPX has to defend its IP but licensing as revenue stream has not been what shall I say "significant". We then went through the debacle of Ioxus and now we seem to have all our eggs in one basket with Maxwell (and a dispute with AVX). How that will turn out and what effect it will have (if we lose) I dont have a clue. Having said that most observers now agree that product sales is the way forward to profit. I have to agree as licensing revenue seems "less certain". All IMHO
Tell me Ducem if you were a football manager would you concentrate on improving your weaknesses rather than retaining your strengths. Most I suggest would do the former and I feel the same about CPX ie the strengths will take care of themselves so you improve/critique the underperforming bits . Saying that doesn't make me negative. For those who expound the virtues of the positives are to me they are living in cloud cuckoo land as success is about the whole package . Same with personal appraisals ie they are mainly about developing your weaknesses. Still we all have our own views
Sadly no but did you notice they mentioned me by name . I bet that jarred off poor old Wobble. My impressions (as a mere punter) was that most of the accountancy speak went in one ear and out the other. Ultimately investor decisions are based on whether they trust what they hear. To me its all about profit. The sales blurb sounded encouraging whereas the IP side of things were less than encouraging (cant get much worse than nil revenue) but now we know we wont hear anything about Maxwell until Oct. Whether that is the end of the beginning or the beginning of the end I dont have a clue. Everything is down to confidence but now there are external forces at play ie Ukraine , WW 3 , Climate Change . I suggest that many people in such circumstances are withdrawing from speculative stock markets. So where does that leave us. Well the SP is ultimately the only measure . So the question everyone must ask themselves is how confident and trusting are you . IMHO CPX is a gamble and as each day passes it becomes more of a gamble. What the future hold ..who knows . I remain invested.
As I say there is always something with CPX . Firstly nobody thought that Ioxus could go bust and avoid any award. Surely there could have been a way of freezing any assets. My first wife did !! Now they have moved into a new factory which might be flooded . Lets hope Seven Hills is on a blxxxdy high hill. Down now to 4.5p . Still Covid figures re right down . Be there tomorrow.
I dont think I have ever said that I wasn't part of the group. I was asked join and I did. I occasionally exchange E mails with TD but I am not entirely sure we have made that much difference However, it seems the most recent exchanges may have prompted CPX to exit from their previous malaise and consider actually communicating with its shareholders. Lets hope we are in future "much the wiser"
I wonder if "our group" had anything to do with this? Having got them to communicate we shall now see what they have to communicate and whether they will truly tell us "how it is" or waffle
Well I have to say Vanilla that was extremely eloquently put and a realistic assessment. Unfortunately we seem to have our own Rocket man (Wobble) . I j wish he would disappear into open (to coin a word) space . Oh that I had the discipline not to look at the SP everyday. Its so depressing
