Morning T posts crossed. I was owning up but more in incredulity

good morning Brigade. Out of the blocks quick today. Shows what I know about placings. RNS up 12%. But they did get the placing away overnight or they must have done it before the announcement which was smart. This is a company that was in trouble long before the virus. A few days ago it was trading under 30p and now they have managed a placing at 58p.Genius! or bankers just don't care anymore. They paid over 500 million for Wagama about 3 times as much as the whole group is worth now and we are now looking at extended lockdown.

S. An example of how not to do a placing. The restaurant group announces (45 minutes after the market closed)it is to have a placing for approx 20% of the company. Strangely and magically the top riser today. Tomorrow it will be top of the fallers column. Unbelievable all to help pay the wages of the Halifax boss who took over. Will be interesting to see where the placing price ends up. Wont be surprised if they have to increase the size of placing.

S. The money raised is to expand customer base and obviously bolster balance sheet due to the debt issue. Talking of recovering markets T all the trusts I had been trading are now well in excess of their nav, which does happen, but not usually all of them. So I guess that is another indication of confidence in the market.

Just back from our walk. Found our local publican exercising in a field! see some larger trades coming in now on AFX. I think the £6.80 underwrites the value pretty firmly barring any other 'incident'. The 20 million placing is only 6/7% of market cap and shows confidence.

Bleeding expensive even with Robbie's discount. At least it works properly. Thats all I wanted a fast, reliable, accurate, up to date platform . Too much to ask? pretty much what you get with IG trading apart from level 2. Trouble is I think that just helps induce panic both ways and likely to jump to bad conclusions, especially as nobody has a clue on how we're getting out of this. Love the idea that Trump is our new best buddy as all the other guests move as far away as they can get!

It was one of the reasons I joined because I contacted them to ask why it kept breaking down and they assured me it worked much better as a paid member which seemed credible. Actually S. It was the best way to do it. Normally a company announces a placing the shares tank, often ending up below the placing price so people don't want to buy in, so then they drop the placing price again. I have seen it happen a few years back. So its pretty good they did this quickly and got it done and dusted. May not even halt the rise much, but I think it probably explains quite a lot about the over-reaction of sp drop in the first place.

Struth. They announced placing today and completed today. Looks like a mates and directors job. Typical AIM. Should be ok. I guess they wanted to fix the whole left by the 30 million owed which they will get back. Didn't flag up on the. RNS tag. Typical LSE. They really are rubbish!

S. Did you see there was a placing announced today by AFX to raise 20 million at £6.80 a share. So if you can get a few at them too think you will do well.

Hi S. Just saw you bought back AFX. Good luck. Unfortunately LSE have mucked up so much trade data its impossible to see whats going on, on many company pages they seem to be publishing trades from Feb 13 for some bizarre reason. Rank amateurs! The strange thing to me was so many sells and they were sells because I checked London Stock Exchange site were for huge amounts, and all the buys looked like Pi's. Can see it cruising back to £10 now. Strange its been so slow getting there if everything is hunky-dory.

This site is dreadful. Don't ever pay for it. Its dreadful. Have demanded my money back! The info gets muddled up. The trades supposed to be from today are from February 13th. Consistently gives out the wrong sp. Really confusing. Thatswhen I could actually access this site. Absolute joke

Good call T. Pretty much what I'm doing. Got wrong footed on this rise for sure. So probably leave well alone till easter done. Hopefully PM Boris will be making a strong recovery by then too

Thanks T. Have been thinking about it. Not sure what this massive rally is based on. Do people really think its all over? The Imf have already declared that this is worse than the financial crash of 2008. We have walked around this very quiet town and seriously wonder how many of the shops, cafes, pubs, hotels and restaurants and other businesses will actually reopen with the all clear. It is very serene and the sunshines brightly. The sea sparkles, and the market behaves as if this is a mere a blip. The NHS are going to need a long holiday to when this is over. Take care

Having shot up to £1.34 decided to unload BGO. I think the deal although very good has put some pressure on the stock because they have sold 4.5% of the company to their new partners at 96p. Which was only 4p the sp when they hatched the plan. Will be looking to get back in again but probably wait to see what happens when the 3.5 million new shares hit the street in a couple of weeks. AN new issue however small or good the deal nearly always makes a stock retrace however good it looks. Kape looking strong still. Some weird trading going on still. almost like they have been trying to fill an order, probably unsuccessfully. Think I should follow my head and stop trading for a few days to let the rampant Dow do whatever great thoughts chairman Trump comes up with. Particularly liked his reasons for not wearing a mask. Apparently it would be inappropriate for such a great leader' I think he might be related to King Canute.
