Wow, runaway driverless Tesla verse off bend and crashes killing its two passengers in Texas. Presumably they mean it just carried straight on, but the road didn't. These guys were about my age which seems even more amazing. I just couldn't, wouldn't and never will.
Good article in Stoko this morning by Edmund Shing. He talks more sense than most. A lot of talk about selling up or just holding through any dip. He is of the opinion that now is not time to run for the hills and I tend to agree. The FTSE has still woefully underperformed the rest of the main economy markets. I can remember when we the Dow was around 12000 and we were around 5 or six, usually about half the Dow. Now we are about one fith. There are obvious explanations for this, and there are many uk mid and small caps who have done exceptionally well this year. The point is though many have actually done little more than recover what they lost, so possibly a bit flattering. Government backed 5% deposits for new buyers should help support the housing market on top of the stamp duty exemption. Well done if you are holding OCADO positive news from them this morning. Seem to have missed the opportunity again. Baring in mind their long term target perhaps not. I have a funny aversion to big share prices for some reason. Must be psychological, but only getting a few hundred shares doesn't seem worth the effort. Totally the wrong way of looking at it I know. Managed to get over that for AHT.
