Of course they make profits when they sell a company for a profit, which as far as I can recall has netted them several 100% in profits. As regards the products most are yet to come to market, but this obviously doesn't stop the value of those companies increasing well before IPO. Many investment vehicles have found their nav widening in the current market conditions the reverse is true for ANIC, partly because of the cash raised. Even if one of their holdings failed, they don't usually have more than a 5% stake, although again as the value of a particular holding increases , 2 or 3 times that will up their percentage considerably. Looks very well managed to me with the closely attentive eye of Mr Mellon
