If that pattern follows the placing in the summer we will probably still be able to buy cheap shares as the dust settles. Hopefully by April we will be back to 30p or more again. Lots to look forward too

So they raised about 31 million in total in the placing closed yesterday. Have just finished reading Ballin Gifford article in sustainable food and the realisation that current farming practices are no where near going to meet demand. They are currently investing in the more obvious Oatly and Beyond Meet, but mentions the tech involvement and lab grown meat too.
We are now in a very commanding position to invest in positions already identified with the possibility of raising further investment through the take up of warrants over the next 18 months to two years.

I can see this being a very attractive acquisition for Rightmove if the tech proves successful and gains a bit more recognition. Would kill off the opposition stone dead. Obviously Kestrel have a controlling interest here, so they can name their price which would be at lest double the current sp I would have thought especially with half the market cap in cash, so maybe more.

This looks like a mega opportunity to me . They have had a couple of years of acquisition building up a portfolio of around 14 companies from memory. To me that is like a mini investment trust in itself. As someone pointed out the other day the tech laden Dow is made up of massively acquisitive companies with Apple being worth more than the whole of the ftse 100. It is all about scale and adding the right companies that fit the brand.Not saying thats what CNIC is, but even a small percentage of that will do me. Definitely one of the most exciting stocks out there Imo. gl

Thanks for the extra bits of news R. My main concern was more about the internal wrangles within Gresham than anything about INSE. So quite a relief they are still buying here. I think some of their investments have been 'rearranged' by changes in management.

Totally agree Staylong. Buying over £200,000 of shares is a lot more than just a ploy. Even Darktrace has halved in value recently. Not sure why there has been such a sell off in the sector. Just the way markets moves sometimes. I had an exchange of emails recently. We discussed the problems of small numbers of shares in a small company having an exaggerated effect, especially when an investor like Killock wants out or to reduce. Mr Williams assured me that the company was in the best shape its ever been and looking forward to contracts coming through in the pipeline similar to last years trading when the stock hit £2.20 again. Looks like we all need to bail in April and buy back in November!

I agree with Pick and Big. Obviously the market is greatly disappointed with the vaccine results because we were all hoping for an announcement that would provide a revenue stream. However this work is not been a drain on the cash reserves as it has been funded by the MTAs. The gene therapy trials are very encouraging and the hope that it may be able to help suppress tumours in humans will give hope to thousand if not millions of cancer patients. Its little pioneering companies like this that can make huge difference. Sadly the truth is there are probably more commercial failures than successes. All is not lost and we move on to the next stage:

It tells us 2 things. Nobody wants the stock at the moment which is understandable given the current situation. None the less that is a sizeable transaction and I see there is an even bigger un named transaction shortly after MR Williams. This suggests that they have a certain amount of confidence not the that the market has got it wrong, but that the company still has very good prospects, This is not a token buy obviously it still needs time to rebuild.

Rye I get your point but on risk, I didn't take part in the last raise because I was pretty certain as many others were we would see 20p or less after that placing at 22p, and indeed the opportunity arose to buy more at just over 18p which I gratefully received. There have been very few stock in the last 20 months that have not fallen below placing. I agree that the risk is not the same, the potential opportunity however is probably a lot more attractive to me. For the good of the company though please buy the placing. Was going to leave that to Jim:)

Great post Moz. This is far from just being about covid vaccine delivery, but as the boss of Pfizer has just announced this is going to turn into an annual jab. Good old GSK's vaccine works on the new government regulated offcrom virus. It will undoubtedly be a terrific advantage if Nuvec helps ease the storage and transportation of vaccine.

A very creditable first half report. Still with over 23 million in the bank and no debt obviously. No surprise that loases have widened slightly in this transition phase. It has been a bumper year in the housing market and next year I guess will not be so strong for the market in general. Many estate agents are clearly already stressed by the shortage of housing stock at the moment. I understand one of their competitors has been subject to a cyber attack. I trust we are suitably protected in that regard. Looking forward although the market maybe a bit quieter they have proved the worth of this model and it looks set to be very successful in due course, whatever the market thinks about it today

So long as Mellon man doesn't use it for his disastrous gold mining project in Nicaragua. He's just sunk another couple of million in that, and there are warrants for that too if it ever reaches the price. You can't eat gold even if they get around to selling any. I think this is good though, the more they speculate, the more we diversify and accumulate eventually. Cant see why you would wait for the 30p ex price if you can buy now 25% cheaper. The risk is exactly the same

It is evident from recent market reactions to a range of sectors, that no matter what the prospects are they want to see the money rolling in before it gets really excited. Ideas alone do not make great investments. I see this partnership strengthening their appeal and credibility enormously and just what the doctor ordered apart from a new vaccine, which according to AZN just needs a tweak. GL

I think 80% increase in revenue on last year probably counts as growth. They have pretty well reached last years revenue in first 6 months of this year. Last year was was a bit of a transitional phase where they had a dip in EBITDA but increased recurrals by 71% which again should help build on growth. So two new contracts in the last few months circa $1.6 million with possible extension and a move into Africa telecoms. Looks pretty promising. Rome was not built in a day Rodders!

Looks like Gresham House doing a bit of tidying and put their Uls holding in a different pocket, Harewood Capital. Is this a conviction stock. Keep fiddling with loose change in the pocket and hope it somehow gets bigger. Come on Ollie haven't reached you maximum yet!
