There is still a bit of misconception amongst shareholders about debt. The bond is fixed rate at 5.5% till 2026 against the assets of the ships. They have debts circa 220 million, They have cash of 175 million, 100 million unused credit facility. The 220 million debt, already down from 410 million, should rapidly diminish with the prospect of fully operational travel business netting the company 150-200 million profit per annum. The current share price does not fairly reflect the business its more of a vote on sentiment and the state of the world. Evergrande is a huge concern and hopefully they can manage its collapse or demise in an orderly fashion with another deadline on Friday. This could result in a bit of after shock with the involvement of 150 banks if they default again. It doesn't really effect Saga's business but it could effect the markets generally. So if your time horizon is more than a few months its a very good hold at this sp at the very least . Would be nice if they could pay a dividend in the meantime with so much cash generation, unfortunately they can't at the moment under the terms of the bond.

Probably more a case of a few of us believing this share price is wrong. Its going to get a lot frothier on news I would hope. Volumes pretty depressed all round with Evergrande debacle, inflation and COVID. I rewatched the meet the company presentation and find the share price reaction even more bizarre. Although revenue 9% up I think the numbers don't actually tally with the current high growth that the PE suggests. That has come down from over 40 to 26 now. If the ROW business takes off with the aid of all the new global partnerships then we should swiftly return to over £1. Still a lot of headwinds at the moment outside their control, but this is a sector in increasing demand whatever happens elsewhere. Be really amazing if they crack Asia.

I can tell you with some certainty that all the prices above 81.29 are in fact buys. I have been drip feeding in. the 81p is most likely a sell. Not sure whats going on here possible announcement of acquisition? 9% organic growth and possible explosion of growth through partners does not explain share price action

Never too sure about these awards, nut none the less they continue to win them or excel at them. Perhaps they should consider merging with IGP. Both looking for acquisitions. Neither er appear to be in competition with Darktrace. Both have niche products. Similar cash balance. Both paid off loan notes. Both grossly undervalued. Looks like a perfect partnership to me

Is Jimbo getting a bit impatient with the sp? I guess he was expecting the sp to be little higher than it has currently got to. Has done pretty well given current market conditions. He hasn't spent the money yet raised at the last placing and is hoping someone will stump up 28.5p for 40,000 shares which won't buy a lot. Perhaps he will put his hand in his own pocket can't really see the point of buying shares at a premium . Thats not really the idea of warrants. I gather there may be news of new investment coming though. If its good and moves the sp up then maybe people will exercise their warrants and boost the cash pile

Fd. Their finance restructure for the bonds is now fixed till 2026. They paid a bit more interest (5%) to secure this from the original 3.5%. When they put the new bonds out to tender that had to scale it back because it was about 80% overs -subscribed. This is an asset debt for the boats its not like Mcro who have business debts of 4 biliion for some unfortunate purchases and write offs.
I would'nt be surprised to see Setanta or Aberdeen finishing their sell off, god knows why. The price always drops back as they still hold quite a lot even at 3% or below.They started selling around placing time at about the equivalent of £1.20. Their investors must be thrilled. I guess they were hoping the Aviva boss was going to be successful with a hostile takeover which is one reason that Sutherland invited Sir Jolly Roger back to block it and they gave up immediately,. So I suspect its sour grapes on their part hoping to join forces with the new owner. Has to be said Sir Roger is very shrewd. He has bought back about a quarter of the company for about a tenth of what he sold the entire outfit for back in 2004 ish? So he is probably taking less risk percentage wise than many of us shareholders. So I think the volatility is purely down to Institutions wanting out still, and the general woes of the economy and heath. As far as I can see the business is in rude health thanks to the restructure and somebody with no better credentials to restore its fortunes. Its not going to be a quick overnight fix, but its been a pretty good start from where it was teetering on the brink. I am surprised we have no new Institutional investors I think the guy with his own cruise line who purchased £3 million is still with us. Would be expecting a lot more than £6.00 a share in a couple of years.

Correction its called market screener

It is quite tricky getting up to date holdings of major share holders. Many institutions forget or can't be bothered to inform companies of a change in holdings. That looks the same as stock screener updated 4 days ago. Stockopedia is well out of date. At least Stock screen put a date to their info. Really useful

5 star presentation. Great CFO. Crystal clear explanations.Maybe not the most scintillating but hey just turned to profitablity. Interesting development from one offs to recurrables.

Evil Knieval reiterated his enthusiasm saying anything below 60p is worth a punt. He should know having bought 70,000@ 54p and in April 300,000 @ 60p:
Nobody knows what the advertising revenue will be but on a three-year view $15m p.a. is posited as possible. If so the profits thereby generated will be massive – perhaps as much as $10m p.a. This contrasts with the current capitalisation of PTRO of c. $28m at a share price of 53p. TNAV is perhaps a few million USD.
The managers have been successful before and I therefore think it is wise to back them now.
I bought 300,000 shares at 60p last week but quite accept that the price can retreat a bit. If so, I do not mind since this stock is for the patient. (If PTRO fails there will be very little left.) I do not know what the target price should be but by end June, say, it should be smartly higher and on a three-year view we can get anywhere.
That plan has gone well as we were indeed lower by about 40% with markets facing serious headwinds. Good results so looking forward to presentation tomorrow

I had a top up today. @ 92.33 so can be pretty sure most of todays trades are in fact buys. HY1 update possibly tomorrow or later this week. The news has been positive but still a little underwhelming. Great about multiple upgrades from existing customers. Could do with news about new customers and growth!

I think you are in good company. The final purchase on Friday was for 500,000. Directors have been buying way back at this sort of level. IP also failed to move up. Someone suggested their rise was happening when the float of ONT was first announced, where as it has been a bit more muted in SUPP even though it makes up a larger percentage of the portfolio. The future looks very bright in this sector but so are the valuations so plenty of leeway in the nav. My plan is to buy in gradually.

The 100 million was yesterdays figure. They didn't say what the sp was based on so I guess it might be a good bit higher now although the ONT sp seems to be settling around £6.2 now. If its based on flotation sp then not far off your figures AI!
