A bit of faith restored at last. This acquisition could open some very useful doors, not least into the Middle East. Earnings enhancing from next April. Frustrating that the market is such an update junky. I did buy a lot more on the way down, unfortunately not at 38p like the incentive plan. GL all

They spent about £200k between dec 21 and June 22 which left them with a reasonable £1.5 million. Another 3 months down the line I would hope they still have a good chunk of that left after exemplary cost control, partly thanks to research financed by potential partners. A lot depends how the commercialisation is financed. If it was simply a question of collecting license fees then we should just see the cash roll in. This current share performance is a typical precursor for a raise. Hopefully it won’t be necessary but provided viability is a goer not really too concerned either way .

Very upbeat directors talk interview. 28 million record order book again. Expansion with new off ice in m4 corridor. Expansion in USA. Dividend suspension obviously spooked the market but as usual has completely misread CNc. Annoyingly it probably wasn’t necessary to suspend dividend. Can’t blame them in this turmoil not least with twat Truss and Kerching screwing up in record time

This looks extremely good value before todays news. Have been looking at P/E ratios in the sector. Lse wrongly (as usual) have that over 70. It is in fact down to around 20 and probably lower on todays update. Bango is on about 70, boku 30 and fnx on a mere 18. Obviously these comparisons are not always like for like with companies operating in different countries with different currencies and growth rates, but it is interesting as averaging for the sector. I think the sp had got way ahead in the 60p range but now it is definitely way behind. As we know markets are never very logical. 90p is a great target. I can see this happening as cash fades into extinction but that might be a few more years yet

I think the market has yet to acknowledge the significance of this. A big step forward . Market possibly a bit weary after the slightly disappointing vaccine trials.

Better cash position than I realised. Only used to 200k from December to June. I suppose getting potential partners to fund the trials helps enormously. At current cash burn we can last a few years!

Bit of a double whammy update and mortgage withdrawals because nobody has a clue what the BOE or Kerching are doing least of all themselves

The agm statement went down like a lead baloon . Lets hope we get some of that cash back

This is valued at £3million still. If they don’t get a deal that’s obviously ridiculous with about £1 million in the kitty.
The potential however is quite staggering and with so much investigative research already done and patents in the bag this seems to me a better bet than how long Kwasi Kerching will last

Looks like I was well over optimistic last summer. Weren’t we all? I think expose to online retail has exacerbated the situation for this reit, though looks like the are all going to experience property value reduction. Why else would supermarkets be selling out. BOE signalling a reassuring rate rise to 6 percent seems almost as reckless as Kwasi Kerching’s excellent first few days at the office of magical chance- lory

Lord lee I believe added to his holding in the summer. I see he also binned his holding in the popular ipo ADF last week . This was unwelcome news on top of our newly imposed economic terrorist government. I think under the circumstances it was prudent to suspend the dividend. Someone suggested a cut would have been better . I disagree. I hope this suggests this is indeed a temporary blip. ‘ revenue would have improved further without the supply disruption.’ I think without this information the fall would have been considerably more savage. Aside from the general economic carnage of an incompetent BOE aiding and abetting an inadequate government, the outlook is still promising

Monday morning blues? Not in a good place at the moment. The global economy I mean. However I have faith in Nigel. He is a wily old dog. He knows there is value tied up here.. it’s just getting the first commercialisation to get some income stream. The rest will follow. It has many possibilities but he knows to prioritise on the most likely route. It’s never simple.

I honestly don’t believe there is any malicious intent from PS valuing this at zero. He was suspicious from the launch of this @775 million. He is a qualified accountant in retail and has experience of IPOing a company himself. This is awful and sad to see not least for the 600 employees. Fundamentally it looked like a good business if way overvalued. A bit like a habitat with reasonable priced quality gear. There have been some equally bad hi profile launches in the last 18 months. It’s looking like the .com crash of 2000 repeating. Looks to me like they have explored the options. Not sure there will find any. I thank my luck stars I missed this one in part thanks to PS. Have to admit I missed or got out of any of his ‘favourites.’ A while ago. Still carrying a few of my own mistakes though! Good luck all but be very careful here

This looks the bargain of reits now. I had a good ride with Whr but got out in the summer specifically because of their alignment with online retail . Similar yield , but not convinced they will maintain as well as SUpr. It is also about property value which obviously got well overheated. Even 6 percent dividend is half inflation rate even if that proves to be temporary. There are many facets to value so am a bit wary of the dividend argument.they are far from guaranteed.

Thanks f1. Will bare that in mind. I see companies like Fnx (I hold) , Boku, Bango all doing really well. Yet Eck with its presence in the States with potentially vast market appears to be stagnating a bit. Is it just a valuation thing?

Good posts john. Particularly like brother of idiot politician! Now running that suer faceblock incidentally. Have followed this company since inception with great interest having been in the trade. Great products , just what the industry was desperate for. Troubles great products don’t always turn into great business. Scaling up and affordability are the two big problems. I can’t see either of these issues being solved near term and another find raise may be necessary which of course will hurt her lengthen the road to decent profitability. Another narrow escape for me. Although it is impossible to escape the turmoil completely. Just hoping to be in the less terminal ones! Gl all

It was a great business model, but completely mid priced. I was tempted several times. I knew the ipo price was ridiculous, but nearly bought at £1.40 and again @ 50p, really tempted. It pays to be patient and not overpay. Everything has gone from brexit, supply chain, debt. Never going to survive cyclical downturn. Decent product with customer design service. Very good buy for someone at the right price, unfortunately won’t be the right price for shareholders.

Most investors understand that valuations on shares in the current climate is not a true reflection of the businesses. Hence Mcro is being taken out at 98% premium to its previous closing price. You wouldnt expect to have a daily commentary on the value of your house would you . It depends what someone is prepared to pay on any given day. Clearly cybersecurity is a sector out of favour. Hence dark is being taken over at half its year high. This the problem for shareholders, not the business. I spoke to swg last autumn after the disappointing 6 month results and they assured me it would be possible to meet full year targets, Which they actually exceeded. Their main worry was being taken out cheaply. They now have a lot more skin in the game, so any hostile takeover I would imagine would have to be at a similar premium to MCRO at least. Cant see that happening in current climate. They are very happy withe business performance, obviously not the share price. Any director will tell you the sp is not something they control. It will be a relief to get an acquisition out of the way. That is my only criticism that this has dragged on too long. The other thing that would help is if they could get some of the revenue more evenly distributed through the year. This obviously bugs the market when 6 month result1s show as little as 10 million when full year clocked in a record 35 million with improved margins. If it gives you a kick constantly knocking the management for the share price bully for you. Most of us investors and the management find these unfounded comments annoying and pathetically ignorant as frustrating as it is to see the underperformance of the sp which bares no relation to the business performance or its prospects.

The ever blinking CEO of BLH is very excited about part hosting Phoenix Lithium Conference recently. They have just completed first drill to analyse and will be conducting a PEA next year at the earliest. Then they need to work out how to get into production assuming everything is what they hope it is.
