The relevance of the diagnostic industry to the vital importance and cost/benefit analysis still seems to largely evade the market and the health industry. Drugs are extremely expensive and the importance of prescribing the right one to the right patient to achieve a better outcome and save money is a no brainer for organ function diagnostics and neurology diagnostics which is the new kid on the blog with Cambridge cognition and Monument therapeutics. These companies are increasingly going to play a massively important role in the financial viability of modern medicine as well as improving quality of life for sufferers of some horrific and unpleasant illnesses. .

General consensus seems to be deja vu. They might be slightly further down the road but don’t know how far there is still to go. Tom the fact that you can’t buy stock is mainly because it’s pretty illiquid at times, especially awaiting results. It simply means there are no sellers in the market at present. You could argue that mms could just keep pushing up the price till they find some, or drop it and takeout stop losses! Not a fan of stops. It’s more a tool for mms than punters. You can always put in a limit order in, but unless you offer a premium it’s unlikely to get filled before TU. all playing the waiting game. Looks like someone hoovered up what little was available this morning

It is a mild profit warning, but ‘ due to acceleration decline in non core low margin products.’ Cash generation has improved and house broker maintains 39p target. They also say they are looking for ways to return cash to share holders, so we will find out more in March

Think we got off lightly compared Hvivo. More revenue , loads more cash and a couple of acquisitions targeted . I do think acquisitions are a good idea at the moment, as there are some absolute bargains around. That’s obviously the strategy of Hvivo. However buybacks are a complete waste of resource. They have a sales force to hire to go get some enzyme business for starters as mentioned by mr Mills

Looks like Zurich bought their 5 percent stake November 21st around 8p and sold Jan 24th around 11.5p . Nice profit for two months.

For that very reason about director bonuses I suspect JB suggesting he is being very conservative on forecasts ‘which will be easily met’ he must be hoping to impress the market. The last thing he would do is set himself up for a miss. anyone know how the USa price compares to Uk? It can’t be a straight pound/dollar conversion otherwise the stock is worth twice as much as it is here!

Good post silverblade. Entirely agree. The slightly late reported sale of 239,000 shares helped trigger the fall. I totally understand the retail investor nervousness but it’s probably in the best position it’s ever been.

Probably a good short term trade Tom. Wouldn’t dismiss Renx completely though. it has been very volatile, but now it looks to have sorted itself out I think investors will soon see the evidence of the size of market. Cog certainly has the wind in its sails. Hope it keeps the momentum up
