Hi Splodge. This has been one of those stocks at the top of the fall and risers board on alternate days. I posted earlier about the very welcome and slightly surprise decision for Medicare to agree to cough up for the seats, although. I think I’m right in saying this is actually recommended by a third party. So the thing is this has caused some deferred revenue which has left them a bit short changed. However although the revenue can now be recognised they can ramp up the tests in the knowledge that they will get paid. They only had about 1.6 million dollars plus a payment of .75 million dollars due in June. They mentioned in the last RNS that they would need some more cash whether they got approval or not. Presumably these approval not only makes it more certain that they will get the raise done but hopefully at a higher price and maybe not as much as they were forecasting to be able to stand on their feet now. So the question is what will the placing price be set at? Will be a few banking profits today no doubt. But MMS are probably. Being a bit cagey and possibly the shares are a bit more illiquid which usually widens the spread. I will definitely be up for the placing which might even be a bit higher than share price today. That’s my interpretation, probably complete roll0x . My average is around 4p so in for the long term which should prove worthwhile.

You could argue that if Medicare had given the green light last year testing would be much advanced with revenue also well advanced and no need for a raise. The fact is this was quite a close call I heard. Obviously they had to prove the case for cost benefit analysis, which may look like a no brainier but these test which can be multiple for one patient need the most rigorous scrutiny from an insurers point of view. Kidney disease is the 5th biggest killer in the world , plus all the people with chronic illness. They have done a great job IMO

All I can say is from the meeting JB said this is the best project of his career( ok we all say that about our latest) he came back last year to sort out the mess. There was a hint of possible involvement from big pharma and possibly another hospital group above the ongoing growth in tests with the 900 doctors that have signed up. The difficulty it seems is the size of the company while controlling the spending. I believe the staff count is about 8. So at least NI increase isn’t going to make a big dent . they would be keen to look at a decent partnership . Good news for Vrci with Medicare approval finally confirmed. It might not be Trump who backs down but when the rest of America wakes up to their rising debt and the aggressive selling of US treasure bonds by the Chinese who bailed them out in the 2008 crisis, maybe they will realise the simplistic nature and wrong conclusions the president persists in making. The problem with IGP is the eggs in one basket, which they had been trying to address. Although these are all pretty sound eggs you would think, any exposure to the mad unstable antics of the orange one are viewed with concern and uncertainty. Tutivia tests in the last quarter of 2024 were exceeded by 68% in first quarter 2025. The first quarter 2025 is not far short of the full year 2024. They expect the rest of the year to see continued growth in testing. The test price is set by CMS. I guess Medicare are having to assess how cost productive these test actually are over the benefits to treatment of patients. Renalityx received approval from medicare possibly because they made the case for massive savings to be made by directing patients to receive the right care. I cant think that that same case would not to some degree apply to Tutivia tests if it helps prevent being given potentially toxic treatment. Having said that there are an ever increasing supply of new treatments and budgeting is still required .

Ultimately they would very much like to help kidney illnesses the UK and Europe once they are more financially independent in the US. That is sadly still some way off but they are definitely on the right track. Apart from helping patients with kidney disease to receive the right treatment it is the potential massive savings to the health care service and no known competition yet that make these two so compelling. It has cost a substantial amount to get where they are. A lot of money was wasted by Julians own admission but thats why he came back to the hot seat, but because he didnt want to see it all slip away.
