Great for market makers they can make 20 or 30 % in seconds doing this. I complained to Barclays who were my broker at the time, and they pretended to investigate but said they couldnt find anything wrong with the transaction. I closed my account and never been back . Its much easier to keep a track of things these days. Shares dont normally spike in erratic movements without the help of greedy little fingers. So much manipulation continues more than ever these days. You just need to be sure about the stock you are investing in

Tom. Niox was great for me. I felt it was in a similar place to these companies about four or five years ago. My concern is that bar a takeover they may become like a Bank returning most of their earnings to shareholders but no other product than FeNo to update. They do have the possibility to upscale here and in the US but with the new vaccination , that could also inhibit their market slightly. All supposition on my part. Semi dreading the results! They maybe just be inline though, which is ok but it’s being ahead that counts most for growth valuation.

I think Cog, who have been around for a while are now in a very good place to capitalise on their last two years in particular, be it they may have made a few errors on the way like most do.

Not sure if this might partly be sector related or coincidental but my other three recent investments in EKF, Vrci, and Renx are also heading up after 100s of millions of investment it looks like they have all done the hard yards and now at throw away discount are creating revenue with significant upsides. I would still consider them high risk , but the risk reward is more compelling than it’s ever been because they have reached commercialisation if still a way off profit. The two things they all have in common is improving patient treatment by their diagnostics and cost benefit positive, saving health services considerable time and money.

I’ve taken the decision to sell my holding here. It’s not really done much for two years other than pay out some very generous dividends. I must say I have been swayed a little by R Griffith selling over half his holding in this time . Could be a massive mistake . I don’t think there is a problem with the company, but had eat marked some opportunities elsewhere and this was my only source of funding being over half my portfolio which had grown way to big. Anyway good luck to all and no doubt that elusive takeover can happen now!

Unfortunately there is no good point of entry to Ballie Gifford. The point of exit is the thing to look for! They are not the company they used to be. Must admit I have been tempted below 7 as the Nikkei continues its steady rise, but of course BG know better and as they admit their investments are not aligned to the Nikkei! Bbs is down to £1.08 as the Nikkei ever closer to 40.000! Well the hell did they invest in. They should be investigated.

Griffiths offloads again. Bit concerned as he has now more than halved his position over last couple of years. Obviously he did really well and his remaining 12 percent is a free ride for him. Still if he is selling in that quantity without effecting the sp too much someone is still happy to buy.

Balanced . I don’t think funding is a particular issue at the moment. That’s why Michael Rawlinson joined the board(previously head of mining investments at Barclays). They have a facility in place on which there are no payments for 12 months from date of drawdown over 6 years. They did a placing @ 5p in 2022 I think there was another one @6p which I can’t find. Their assets are worth considerably more since then. The assets are the value, the share price is just voting at a particular time. They obviously decided bank facilities were preferable to more dilution in the current global economy. Very hard to predict but generally rates would appear to need to come down, which some are managing better than others.

Today’s statement is really a reformation of the last update. I like the reassurance of likely support from the incoming administration. It’s good to hear but we need numbers to back up the rhetoric. It sounds like they could be conservative, so scope for beating them. Sensible.

There are very small changes to the numbers. either they can’t quite decide what they bought or sold and keep having to issue corrections or they having a damn good office party sitting on the buy sell buttons

The perspective is they are asking shareholders to pay down the ridiculous debt through total mis management while continuing to pay a dividend with borrowed money. Absolute cloud cuckoo. Total disgrace. Probably be able to buy @ 20p tomorrow. That’s 2p in real terms.

What BMJ said back in June this year that the absence of lung tests in deprived areas was scandalous. This is sadly probably the case with many diagnostics across the uk. The irony is how much could be saved in healthcare withe right diagnosis and health management as well as improving the lives of patients.
