I do understand your frustration Ash. Really annoying I sent an email to another company that has ben fairing just as badly this year and got a reply within the hour. I've had 3 now. Another company I emailed invited me to a share holder meeting and yet another sent me two replies but seems to have clammed up now. One concern they all share is who are you. They get all sorts ringing them up and one thing they have to be careful about what they tell you isn't price sensitive news, which of course is exactly what we want to know. You have to frame your questions carefully. So thats why some are a bit more wary than others. I happen to think the sp is getting oversold , maybe still offloading Miton. Still couldn't stop myself to some more @ CFO.s buy price just now and probably will again as news will out next month one way or the other.

The last update indicated that this was progressing, with added encouraging support from Amazon. We will know more in a few weeks time. Until then this will probably meander about this range of 4.3ish. Takeover speculation has been rife for months. They tend to come out of the blue. So in my experience its pretty unlikely now. It is quite vulnerable. Institutions currently hold 33% of which Blackrock have built their stake up to just under 8%. Quite agree with him. There was an article yesterday about the safety of aircraft and a concerning lack of flying time for pilots. This how Air started its business retraining RAF pilots to become commercial airline pilots. Absolutely tailor made for this current situation.
The trouble for small companies is its so easy for anything they say to the press to be taken the wrong way. CNC yesterday reported trading ahead of market expectations after an update in august suggesting lack of visability and a slight fall in revenue although a record order book! The shares fell off 30% of the last few months and then bounced 15% yesterday. This is the nature of irrational AIM market. Hard to get the news flow right. Obviously they can't give a running commentary on business activity but sometimes maybe a bit too quiet after downplaying forecasts.

Spreadex the mystery buyer! Does that me some one put a huge bet on the sp going up and they are covering the bet? Perhaps not but about the last company on the planet I would have expected to see on significant shareholder list.

As regards to Miton reduction. Just been reading up on another holding of mine CNC ( who have just announced trading materially ahead of expectations) where Miton have also reduced their holding and it seems it maybe more to do with fund redemption than a statement of confidence in these companies.

I can see why Lord Lee is such a fan. I have been sifting through mismatched companies where the sp seems quite ludicrous compared to actual value. This has to be one of the biggest. First of all the fundamentals. The enterprise value is a staggeringly low one third of its capital value. Its Roe And Roce value are both around 20%. I know the boss man said I wasn't going to make the extra ordinary profit from the first half but he thought they would still be profitable in the second half. It remains to be seen just how much of an understatement that turns out to be. Give that there was substantial increase in interest in Jet card which is not included in the balance sheet. I accept that not everything is rosy with all parts of the business but I can't believe the overall business can be as flat as the sp suggests

I think the other issue with volatility is that far from stabilising the sp by consolidation it has in fact increased volatility. Reducing shares in circulation to 140 million share is a pretty small amount even for a small cap. Probably helped propel the last sudden rise which will no doubt occur again with the next positive news on Brexit or Covid

If, however, you are short a dividend-paying stock, you are not entitled to receive the dividend and may actually have to pay the lender of the borrowed short shares.
It is important to note exactly when you sold the shares short. If the stock is short on the record date, they will owe the dividend to their broker.
Have seen two notifications about imbalance of stock in MCRO. One today on the sell side and one last week on the buy side. The other thing that is unusual for a stock this size is that there're only about 340 million shares in circulation, when they haven't lost the odd half million. This would also explain the volatility. Was doing a little better in USA on opening. Anyone know when the next financial update is scheduled?

Not surprised the share price drops after directors award themselves shares, It snot like the don't pay themselves enough. They should take the same risk as shareholders

Yep. Its all a bit mysterious. I emailed SWG today and got an immediate response saying the big trades were a the last hopefully of a seller who they managed to match a buyer/s to . Hence this had no effect on the share price. I asked about an RNS but they said only if over 3%. By my math that was nearer 10% than 3, but did not press on that point. If the holder doesn't identify themselves then they won't know who it is. They were clear that it had nothing to do with any of their companies in the group. The fact remains that for whatever reason there was a very big drop in revenue in their interims over 30%. Quite how have they have achieved to maintain the cash balance and pay off £4 million legacy loan. Suppose the cash is the placing and they made 4 million from cost savings and sales which seems pretty decent. So in theory if the delayed contracts come good we should be in for a substantial recovery in the second half. Just to clarify holdings, they confirmed board and directors currently hold 30% of company. So there we are not an impending crash as one idiot on ADVFN seems desperate for, but more patience required. Looking reasonably optimistic

Never mind the spelling Stockopedia attributed an RNS to GEO that SWG had gone into oils surveying! Ok . I promised myself not to buy anymore, but if Higgins is prepared to sell at £1.43 to buy back @£1.48 into his ISA thought it would be rude not to join, although I didn't need to sell any. I guess he has quite a large holing already to be fair, so it is quite encouraging that he wants to protect future capital gains. Had quite a job to buy any at all.
