This is actually new on keyoptiorns site. They bought distribution rights for Asia /Australia. Last time I spoke they had just received some machines to trial . Haven't got much out of them since. Apart from speed, the other advantage they have is identifying any virus or bacteria.
Agree this is purely a bonus for TTG and nothing priced in for Virolens. Tried contacting I-Abra too without success, so not actually particularly hopeful, unless they are having to modify it in some way.

I thought £2.50 was an opportunity I'd missed till today. Naked trader seems to have almost reluctantly bought in at 2.65 suggesting good takeover target. Either way good fundamentals, a ROCE of 45% and a decent divi.

I would have thought bringing the debt down would be a priority.Maybe they are doing so well they can do both. Only really saying this because there seems to be a lot of expectation about reinstating the dividend which could end in disappointment. Concentrating on the debt would make it a much more attractive takeover. Have they actually made a statement about wanting to reinstate the dividend?

Why on earth are we not flying fish out of Scotland to Europe and the government can cough up the difference instead of letting it rot. I see European customs determined to be juvenile confiscating sandwiches now. You can hardly believe these idiots in the middle of such a pandemic!

The other partial factor is possibly the unwarranted correlation with gold price, which is partly relevant but not to the degree of the recent drop. Certainly tempting but I did rather stoke up more than I originally intended under 60p, but yes 62p must still be a bargain. Find it hard to believe buyers won't snap up these prices. Can see gold taking off again which would no doubt be a bit of a catalyst because demand will be high for some time I would think with all the stimulus packages in the offing.

It was unusual to see a placing a couple of years back specifically to sell a directors shareholding. I think many have asked why they didn't use some of the surplus from recent placing to buy the rest of Burtons holding. Perhaps he doesn't want to or is holding out till next tax year. Either way perhaps they have that covered in any event. There has been much muted response to many good updates recently and equally much speculation on rather dubious results. Thats the market for you.

Well done Momoni. Glad you made your own decision. Not knowing your financial circumstances its impossible and we shouldn't really give advice on buying here. From your background in banking and IT it did seem more like a rhetorical question. One of many golden rules worth breaking is never average down. For a start a share hardly ever goes straight top after buying, otherwise it would mean why would anyone ever sell? I nearly always drip feed into stock with trading being so cheap. In the old days we had to pay an estate agent type fee for trading to pay for brokers lunch supper and a fortnights holiday in majorca usually with some appalling advice while they try to offload dodgy shares on you. Anyone who thinks I'm being silly doesn't know the half of it. Anyway got that off my chest. Very good luck. Could be a triple bottom as there are still a couple of weeks before results. So will be topping up again either way probably.

Shrew I can assure you there are many more unloved shares than this. I don't know where you got in but most of the directors seem to have forked out between £1.72 and £2.40 for their sizeable pots. My average is a bit better than that. The placing was very well timed taking taking full advantage of the spike in April. Very fortunately, as it turned out Pi's were excluded from taking part at £2.40. So any price below that seemed ok. A lot was riding on this elusive acquisition which turned out to be a bit of a red herring, and they wisely included 'to strengthen the balance sheet also'. The beginning of COVID just threw everyone into utter confusion. Looks to me like a very strong road to recovery now a lot of water under the bridge hopefully. I think £2 would be just for starters. This is a massive business sector for those positioned to take advantage . Just look at the fines companies like IAG have received for lapse of data security. Its a lot cheaper for them to employ companies like this. They've already bagged an international bank and an American based global fashion chain in the last few weeks and its all going to be profit.

Absolutely Casapinos. I don't think it makes much difference whether the current strain came from the wild of escaped from the lab. A virologist identified Covid virus in about 2005. Very little was done about it in the following 15 years unfortunately. It should never have been allowed to get to this stage thats to the incompetence or unwillingness of successive western governments to act on that information. We are very fortunate to have companies like KMK, who clearly could see problems likely to unfold. Unfortunately it takes a lot of money, time and research to come up with these detecting devises and they have been pretty reliant on grants to keep research and development going until the proverbial hit the fan this year. Hope their endeavours will at last pay off

Yes Vascular. A good find. Just like we were saying though what is the cash/income situation? They seem to be playing devils advocate a bit. On the one hand what a great company it is and possibly vulnerable to takeout at this price, and on the other if they needed to raise cash 'might be difficult at a commercial rate' but looking forward to interims to reinstate forecasts. Hope they didn't pay for this analysis!
Good recovery this afternoon. By the time I got around to getting quotes it was already above what I paid last time so probably more opportunities to top up before interims next week

It is all about risk management. Without details of your holdings(which I don't want to know) you have to balance against other investments. there is the interim out in two weeks, Jan 13th. The two top guys hey bright in have excellent credentials and success in previous roles. I should think that is exactly why they have been recruited. Having great ideas does not always lead to great businesses. Not sure if the interims will have had enough time to show significant improvement, but expecting some sign of sorts with delayed contracts being reinstated to some extent and plenty of new products, presentation and trials scheduled in the new year. What needs clarification is their cash flow, balance sheet and order book. As stated before in recent interviews Dr Arnab emphasises 'robust trading' with cautious optimism. Good rhetoric but we need solid figures. Personally I believe their position should be improving, but unlikely to be significant as they have been unable to give any guide to forecasts. Their website is very good and regularly updated with news that does not always require an RNS. Gl and best wishes for the new year
