I came to to that conclusion too Big Al. I listened to the podcast with Mellon at the weekend on Food Technology. Either this can't be measured on normal values because the potential is massive, or the stocks have gone up a lot more than we know. Interesting to see an up to date valuation. Its not like they have big stakes in ay of them, but I think the really clever part is the investments have been made as CLNs in the main, which I don't think you can do as a pure investment trust. He's was very much of the opinion that his and of many of the companies motivation is firstly kindness to animals (being a veggie) putting farmland to better use and reducing pollution. The side effect being a billion pound company. I think as people have alluded too they would have to invest quite a bit more to get there so possibly another fund raise. The fish cell manufacturing company is very close to launching product to market. Many have a few regulatory hoops to jump through and there is quite a bit of resistance as one can imagine from the beef industry in the states. I honestly think it is not an exaggeration to say that this kind of food production is as important if not more so than the alternative energy market in controlling climate change, eradicating or reducing pandemics, and reducing the risk of famines and food shortages. Hard to put a value on that.
