Are Kelso delaying their update to let someone out the door?

They are late with their update compared to the previous year and Very Q.

Amounting to another 6.5 Million shares

One supposedly a Buy and the other an unknown.

But its roughly the same price sells were going through at yesterday.

I'm sticking with my thoughts that Matt Moulding is exiting over there.

Yesterdays update and webcast is worth far more than a 1p rise and with Neptune V news, HAR1 news and HAR2 news to come, and who knows what could land our way in the 100MW to 3GW way.

MM and Micheal Murray yes. Jury out on MM and Ashleys relationship. Mike is not beholden to anyone.

He is a bit of a Maverick in his approach and it serves him well. He won't be losing any money without a proper Dogfight (pardon the pun) Nor will he be letting anything go cheaply either.

Kyk, samb69 and MagnumPI, Mike buys his shares on the cheap and normally tops up on all his holdings. Boo the biggest one, and he generally picks up companies out of admin or at a discount. With shares he uses brokers and algo's and imo buys on dips or when the price is kept in check. I thought 2 days ago somebody was accumulating albeit amidst the light volume what was being sold @ 40p so you might be right Cong that it is MA.

More the fun is the fact he is stakebuilding and how it shifts the voting dynamics and if say for instance Selkirk Group did have plans for a minority stake offer for THG and how I doubt a cheap offer would now succeed. MA is not everyones cup of tea but it's probably best to view him firstly as a partner but also as an Activist investor also. One with more capability than Kelso, and there is no way MM can Pacman defence him by buying 10% or 12% of Frasers.

Just my opinion.

Well look at this for a strategy update off Smiths Group this morning. The share price had been rising recently as well but the CEO sees it as well undervalued and here's there plan. Compare and contrast.

So answer me this question.

Why despite Mike Ashley buying nearly 5% of THG is the share price still under 40p and nobody else appears to be touching it with a bargepole. Lets have all the reasons?

I'm actually more surprised at how Kelso haven't pointed out the differentials and are presently very quiet. They did it to great effect when they first invested and in my opinion enticed Apollo to make an approach. Now sat on 7.5 Million shares at last count at an average of 57.5p.

Telxx he is already the largest but I think if you have been here long enough you know he'll want the 51%.

Interesting day with a really good RNS and backed up by a very good presentation and webcast with some gems of information in there and a rise of about 14%, on volume, and reduced to about a 1.4% rise in the share price at the close, mostly using the spreads on no great volume. Most of today imo was down to market makers.

Incidentally this share price has been 3 X where it closed today and not in the too distant past on zero improvement, zero contracts and a zero supportive background.

To be fair I think Dennis and Co will be a bit peeved off with what are significant improvements right in front of peoples eyes but hardly even reflected at the close. But I suspect over the next month or two, and seeing out this quarter, he might end up having the last laugh given some of what was said today.

It's because at the time of the review they had climbed above Position 325, which is the Automatic Entry point for the FTSE 250 - not 351.

Vamosbien I think listening to the webcast we will find plenty pieces of news inbound.

Spain and Iberia. It is no surprise if you recall just recently the rampant floods all over Spain, Malaga, Alicante etc at the end of last year.

These were unprecedented floods, killed many people and the authorities literally had to watch. The King and Queen if I remember correctly got hit with thrown mud when they went to visit the key disaster areas.

This mornings results update and the webcast show a disciplined CEO set on transforming the company and delivering and imvho a clear pathway to just that, and backed a string and improving balance sheet by the day.

Wouldn't it be funny if Mike Ashley or Frasers took a 10% or 12% stake in Selkirk Group.

Couerdelion, any slice of the £7.9 Billion to be spent on the creation of 9 new reservoirs will add manifestly here on top of the massive order book they have just advised on. Great links already with several water companies.
