Maybe the shorts to which you refer chanced their arm to see what they could shake out and realising things had dried up and the price was only tempting in buyers then they have decided to close prior to next update. No doubt gone long at the same time.

All that said I'd be very surprised if THG still have Nutrition and MyProtein in 5 years time at the pathetic revenue multiples the market presently ascribes to the business, when competitors are getting taken over at revenue multiples 4 and 5 times higher and when industry leaders normally command a premium.

The thing is with this Iceland exclusivity, it last for 5 years. After then with it having gained traction nothing stopping THG rolling it out to Tesco, Aldi, Lidl, Morrisons, Sainsburys.

Similarly we all know that with THG Ingenuity at their disposal the same model can be employed in the other circa 195 countries where they have a footprint.

Its a common theme amidst those rapidly expanding whereby you identify one of the main players. Give them exclusivity for a finite number of years then once its established you roll it out to the mass market.

Along the way you add to the range with say morfe vegetarian and vegan options, pizza, ice-creams etc.

That actually was my thoughts 2phevs in that the seats are easily selling out at these prices. Just also look at Peter Kays recent tour dates and then the additional dates recently added. Virtually all those tickets, except the odd single ticket sold out within 2 hours. Yes some people will be encountering tight budgets but their still seems to be a lot of evident wealth out there and in abundance.

I'll tell you what was really good about virtually all of the THG websites over the Festive season. I noticed that from the outset the likes of Lookfantastic, Cult Beauty, MyProtein, Zaavi, Iwoot etc etc all had about 6 listed options for buying products and splitting the cost from monthly payments to bnpl options and giving flexibility to those with tight budgets.

Its interesting that you mention seeing Les Mis HH.

I was actually researching several London shows last night for tickets and it was virtually impossible to get seats for the newer shows and what was available was about £125 to £250 each dependant on the show. (Only Fools and Horses, Pretty Woman, Moulin Rouge) Plenty people out there paying these prices.

They get on with establishing and growing the business and the numbers should start to speak for themselves.

Today just serves to reinforce that and add more worth to the grossly undervalued Nutrition arm of the business.

Nice progressive start to 2023 and what should be breakeven year.

Most financials seem to have started on the front foot.

Didn't see many passing any of the last rise in interest rates onto Savers.

Quite a few of the financials seem to have started on the front foot this morning including LLOYDS.

Not surprised as virtually nobody passed on to Savers any of the last Interest rate rise.

You have to credit the timing as well for it coincides with the New Year surge when everybody gets into joining gyms and focusses on getting fit and toning.

I suspect they will have had the THG studio and marketing add ons that THG Ingenuity provide behind it. Will keep my eye out to see what marketing supplements the launch.
